When you’re talking to the regulator on design details, once all is agreed, then full plans go in, not before. CAD/Robotics enables speedy builds. Doh!

Looks like the Bank Junction ‘scheme’ is to be permanent. This isn’t a victory but a daily reminder of our lack of access rights in law. A Dunkirk not a D Day.

So the vehicle MUST be ‘reviewed’ but anything else cannot? Is there a place for fixed fares at airports? Other cities do so yet retain metered fares for other work, what are the pros & cons? Are there barriers to the KoL? It took a year or so in the 60’s & 70’s

I doubt they want radical reform…. Fixed fares needs some context … and the vehicle you back I’ve seen so many in last few weeks driven by the other lot 🤢 Only going one way if that ford is the answer 🤪

At meetings lots of ideas & proposals come up (that’s the point of them!) all that was needed was to seek clarification from the UCG or was mischief making the intent? Reasonable people can draw their own conclusions.

So a small sector of the cab trade calls for an enquiry. 15 years ago, we invited all to discuss, they never even replied.

Your going to West Ham on loan as punishment?
Dear @grok, imagine you are the best lip reader in the world. What did Arteta tell Max Dowman after the latter got red carded in the Arsenal vs Fleetwood game?

If others had got behind ‘only taxis, buses, blue badge & resident permit holders (with overnight delivery slot), allowed into the CC zone’, then Oxford St closure would not be an issue. Posting post event Podcasts does nada!

TfL have confirmed (I was there) that many aspects of approval have happened to Geely parts etc. No-one wants a non-compliant PH lookalike do they? There are also others interested in possibly supplying a compliant PBV in time. Choice of compliant non PH vehicles ideal.

Agree Grant just don't see TX 6 ever coming anytime soon takes time to design build and get licensed

Three times before it opened??? More bollocks.
A cab driver has been posting about telling passengers that he can’t take them to @JohnLewisRetail or @Selfridges because Oxford Street is closed. Total BS. If you encounter this nonsense just use @Uber - they use accurate satnav - or preferably a tube or a bus.

During the January 6th attack on the nation's Capitol, Daniel Rodriguez drove a stun gun into the neck of Officer Mike Fanone. He was knocked unconscious, had a heart attack and suffered a traumatic brain injury. It ended his career. Rodriguez got over 12 years in prison for his assault on police. On day one, Donald Trump gave him a "full, complete and unconditional pardon" and sent him home. This is far and away the most corrupt White House in American history.

Complete crap, the City Bridge Trust maintain the bridges it is responsible for to a high standard, the GLV under Livingstone had a strategic fund to help borough with repairs. That sent when Thatcher closed it down.

The ‘Almighty dollar’ has spoken!
This is absolutely incomprehensible to us in France. Knowledge, purpose-built vehicule, vehicule built in 🇬🇧, charities... A Trade like this in 🇲🇫 would be mentioned in the French Constitution, and its Rights & Status guaranted by it 🚖🧾✋

We can either: 1. Endless haggle for crumbs in various road schemes. 2. Campaign for a ‘presumed right of access’.
Taxis in #Paris are Official Accredited Transport for 🇲🇫 NHS, are considered emergency vehicules and therefore have access to ALL streets, roads, areas. A decision to exclude taxis from some areas would be unthinkable - and very probably invalidated by France's Highest Court.

"BREAKING: DONALD TRUMP JUST GOT DRAGGED INTO HIS OWN TRAP. Trump sued the BBC for $10 BILLION — a shakedown lawsuit meant to bully the press over a documentary about his January 6 speech. Then came the part he never planned for: HIS turn to answer questions. Under oath. He canceled his October 16 deposition, hid behind 'presidential duties,' and offered to maybe show up in January. Yesterday a federal judge in Miami said NO. Judge Enjoliqué Lett ordered Trump to sit for a SEVEN-HOUR deposition, on VIDEO, by December 11 — and warned him that if he keeps stalling, she can throw his own $10 billion lawsuit in the trash. She said his document production 'strains credulity' — his team has handed over essentially NOTHING. And she cleared the BBC to subpoena his Mar-a-Lago membership records. Her words should be carved in marble: 'Engaging in discovery is burdensome, but is a burden we undertake — especially if we file a lawsuit.' That's the whole scam in one story. Trump loves lawsuits as a WEAPON — sue the press, sue his critics, sue anybody who reports the truth — right up until the moment the rules apply to HIM. Under oath means the one thing he can't survive: questions he doesn't control, with perjury attached. And understand what this really is: Trump and Musk's corruption is the biggest PONZI SCAM this world has ever seen — a two-man operation where the richest man on Earth bankrolls the president, the president hands him the government, and the American taxpayer funds both ends of the deal. They wrap it in a flag, but men who loved America wouldn't sell it off piece by piece and sue anyone who says so out loud. They don't hate the flag. They hate the country that comes with it — the courts, the press, the voters, the rules. America keeps getting in their way. December 11. Seven hours. On camera. EVERYBODY KNOWS IT."
