You Only Live Twice, but time is flying fast in this life.
So I decided to take the plunge and share my passion about Bond.
Like martial arts, and countless others, it has been with me for most of my life.
Strong opinions based on decades of fandom and only because I care deeply

I think the train scenes in Octopussy are some of the best ever scenes in the #JamesBond franchise.
Diana Rigg was fantastic as Emma Peel.
Intelligent, witty, strong, resourceful, more than a match for Steed, but also human and at times vulnerable.
And so beautiful.
An irresistible combination.
Amazingly, thinking of her in some scenes makes my heart beat faster - to this day.

Another upscaled image, here James Bond (Roger Moore) examines a Q-branch camera rocket launcher behind the scenes of The Man with the Golden Gun. Eagle eyed viewers will spot the camera on the desk when Q examines Lazar’s bullet. #jamesbond #themanwiththegoldengun #rogermoore
A word on ITV censorship.
Always dodgy pre-watershed, but the garroting and headbutt are cut, yet the hostage knifing 007, and Fatima slapping Petacchi and slamming his head into a wall are shown in full.
Makes no sense unless violence by a woman is deemed less objectionable.

ROGER MOORE on location in New Orleans’ French Quarter for
LIVE AND LET DIE (1973)
Another treat for insomniacs last week.
If For Your Eyes is the Ben Nevis of controversy, Never Say Never Again must be Everest.
But I'll defend till I die.
Good plot, Connery in fine form as an aging Bond, one of the best villains (Largo) and best Bond Girls (Fatima) and more.

🇬🇧 There would be a perfect date for the announcement of the next #JamesBond actor early October 2026… 😊

Brilliant casting idea for the new Q.
That's the kind of suggestion that make it such a joy to engage with the Bond community.
Saw a discussion on this earlier.
IF the next Bond film has more of a feel of the Roger Moore era, and they bring back Q briefings and lots of gadgets, then I absolutely think David Mitchell would make a great Q.

A 54 year old action star stood up on late night and did the Kickboxer dance like the movie never ended.
“Do you still have those dance moves?”
Conan asked. Jean-Claude Van Damme did not answer. He waited for the music and wrecked the set. Same hips. Same kicks. Same two guys at the table who look like they have been stuck there since 1989.
He did not come to talk. He came to finish the scene.
