“Oh, for heaven sake, Detective. Just kiss the man.”
“Sir, you know?”
“What? Do you think I’m an idiot? I needed to maintain plausible deniability, which I can continue, as long as you two both act professionally at the precinct.”

“Senator, is everything okay?”
“You can’t – you can’t be here.”
“I found the tape. I found it. It’s over. Senator Bracken, you are under arrest for conspiracy, fraud, and the murder of my mother, Johanna Beckett. Turn around, please.”
Beckett was thinking that Castle was going to dump her but in actual fact he was asking her to marry him
“Look, there’s something that I have to tell you guys, but there’s someone else that I have to tell first.”
“Castle.”
“It’s me. We need to talk.”
“Yeah, we do.”
