He will be missed :( Mel - Mel's mini-update will be Live on Patch 26.22 - When we released Mel, we intentionally went for a new ability that was pretty ambitious; we like to try to push the boundaries with new champions and mechanics to give players new puzzles to solve with each release - After being on Live for a while, it's clear that many players feel that Mel's reflect was too frustrating to play against - There are things in League that are allowed to be frustrating, as that can create a feeling of triumph when overcoming it and challenging players to grow, but there are some things that are too frustrating even given those upsides - Realistically, every champion should have something that they do uniquely that other players might feel is frustrating - So we're reworking Mel's W to keep the feeling of destroying projectiles, but not have it hard counter some subsets of the roster - We tried many versions of Mel's W that tried to retain the reflect, but we couldn't find one that would hit the mark for Mel players and would be satisfactory for opponents - We know this is disappointing for Mel players and we're sorry we couldn't uphold this end of the contract with you all - That said, we hope this will allow Mel to be balanced at relatively higher resting power levels and be more effective for Mel players Systems - Overlord's Bloodmail has been pretty weak overall and it's pretty hard bound to Sett as currently tuned - We're looking to try to buff this for other users who should be interested in an item that converts Health to Damage (Mundo, Sion), but some aspects of the item make it too Sett skewed [eg. the missing HP portion] - Doran's Bow has been a bit too strong relative to Doran's Blade, especially at higher levels of play - So we're looking to balance out the relative tradeoffs of the items a bit - We're overall happy wtih the direction of how the tradeoffs are playing out though! Just that the magnitude is a bit off

One of the STRONGEST and most impactful MIDLANE Solo Queue champion. I went through every Midlaners, Assassins, Bruisers, Tanks and Mages in order to find which Champion would carry you to Master and above the hardest, and I've decided on Pantheon by taking into account the following criterias: - Needs to be Easy to play, Hard to mess up on. - Kit needs to have real impact and value. - Needs to have a great early game, snowballing potential and scale well. - Blind Pick potential. A year ago I managed to get a Student from Diamond all the way to Challenger in NA with this pick ( discord.gg/sungod ) When I arrived in China 4 years ago I was surprised to see Pantheon mid to be picked fairly often, which was quite surprising to me since EU/NA doesn't pick it as much. It's much more popular in KR/CN but I can attest to the strength of this pick. Check onetricks.gg/champions/ranki… to see how many are playing Pantheon mid right now. Only 1 Chinese is currently playing it in KR: tinyurl.com/PantheonMid Strengths: - Very strong against all META assassins Mid - Great Laning and amazing solo kill potential - Very High map presence with Ultimate - Scales very hard because of his 115% AD Ratio on his Q - Snowballs extremely well - Doesn't need to always farm - Despite going full Damage your E allows you to tank absolutely anything Weaknesses: - You need to teamfight intelligently and not just go facetank 5 players - High skill ceiling despite his easy kit How do you build Pantheon mid? Always rush Youmuus for the extra MS which allows you to reach anyone, into Lucidity upgraded boots. The second item is situational, Bastionbreaker or cyclosword for pure damage, Edge of Night to bypass CC (Syndra E for instance), Serpents Fang if they have too much Shielding. Rest of the build is purely situational, however you can go: Youmuus > Lucidity > Cyclosword > Bastionbreaker > Edge of Night > Lord Dominik's Regard and then swap Bastion for GA in the late game. Recommended gameplan: - Play Level 1 Slowly, Poke with Q or W. - Play Level 2 Aggressively, proc Electrocute. - Go for short trades in the Early game, don't just hard commit. - If your opponent is below 50% HP this is your Kill window since your Q executes. - Look to roam and make a play with your R (always aim much further ahead to cut off escape routes) - Look to play with your Jungler and Burst a squishy target in a 2v2 scenario - Scale efficiently and get picks around the map - If you're snowballing, look to take your lead in other lanes, and get T1 and T2 towers. - Avoid the hardcore statcheckers in Toplane if they're Hard stacking armor if you aren't very strong (Irelia with Tabis and additional armor + exp lead for Instance).
