Boring Battlecry

I think democracy should be limited to people who have actual stakes (ie: blood) in the game. People who put their lives on the line for the state. You can be a resident of a nation but to be a full citizen, you must've done some sort of service. That would get rid of a lot of bullshit. This should be optional. A resident would have all the rights and responsabilities of a citizen, except the right to vote. Such service should be available to all residents and challenging enough to be difficult to pass. It should also include civics education on how democracy works and the stakeholders in said democracy. People should be tested of their knowledge about the factions and parties present at the time of enrolling with a refresher at exit once service is finished assuming the person does not wash out. Education should also focus on perpetuation of the society. In other words, any death-worshipping cults that advocate the demoralization of the population should be ruthlessly expunged from the society. (ex: The green movement advocating for depopulation, or any faction that teaches kids that normal male/female relationships are somehow bad -- anything that can harm the perpetuation of society). Once they've done their two years and assuming they don't die in the process, and they pass the tests, then they have the right to vote. Right now, the way democracies are working, there are millions that vote on feels, are uninformed, and should simply not have the right to vote.
