Avoiding most social media, but slowly working on Melee-related projects again. Focusing on data completion and correctness. I'm feeling the fun factor come back to me slowly.
Hoping I can attend the next Dynasmash so I at least have 1 this year before surgery.
Been missing out on some tournaments and meeting people due to knee issues. After 7 years of issues I've finally gotten an MRI, turns out both my ACL and meniscus are torn.
Big yikes to say the least, especially that it took this long but, hey, finally got answers.
Quick peek behind the curtain: I've been working on a project called MeleeIndex for more than a year now. Doing a lot of thinking and prototyping.
I've decided to completely start from scratch today to try and get a better foundation for the project.

This was supposed to be a complete knowledge platform, with a blog writing tool. Had it integrated so that you could host Fightcore frame data with a drag-and-drop. The idea was to get people on board and let them write blog posts and complete lesson for others to use to improve
I'm pretty sure that my Jigglypuff frame data page hasn't suddenly sparked the interest of the Linux community.
For anyone scraping Fightcore.gg for frame data and GIFs. Please come talk to me, everything is open source and available for you in an easy way.
The entire thing is very obviously vibe-coded, and the Reddit comments from this dude really don't add much in terms of credibility.
A placeholder email and hardcoded data in the source do not seem very convincing.
I'm incredibly happy with all of that and am grateful for the interactions I have with people. But a randomly posted vibe-coded with placeholders website, with no credentials on the money except "George Soros", really fucking hurts my motivation to try and be creative.
Working on a major update to Fightcore, revamping the UI and making the hitbox viewer + timeline more intuitive.
Cooking up many other things soon, using HSDLib to generate GIFs of ALL subactions in the game, and implementing the timeline for all moves.

Released another improvement to Fightcore last night. Going to slow down development a bit to focus on other projects. Got some big things coming and am interested to see how it all pans out.
On a personal level, the new job is amazing, and I feel better than ever!
Recovering a bit from a sprained muscle in my back, working on a new project and trying to put in one commit a day minimum. Fightcore is getting scraped by some bot.
And now, the real thing that has kept me busy, I will be leaving my current job at the end of this month.
Taking a month off to work on myself, hopefully attend some weeklies in further out places and work on projects like Fightcore and the new stuff.
All exciting positive changes, and I hope to be more out in the open after all this is said and done.
