You open your phone to save an idea and end up scrolling.
Deepinder Goyal’s Temple is being built around doing everyday tasks without a screen. It also claims to hear you without a microphone.
I read his announcement. Here’s the breakdown.
9/10
On privacy, Temple says conversations are end-to-end encrypted, never reach AI model companies and cannot be read by its team.
It calls itself a companion for tasks that work without a screen. Shopping on your behalf is outside its stated scope.
“Let me explain my business again” is becoming half the work of using AI.
Notion now lets connected AI tools share saved memory, so ChatGPT and Claude can pick up the same context.
I’d happily spend less time briefing the tools that are supposed to save me time.
Losing a job is hard enough. Worrying about next month’s bills makes it harder.
@canva is giving departing employees six months’ salary, a year of health cover where offered, their MacBooks, help finding work and a year of LinkedIn Premium. They can also apply for $10,000 to start a business. There’s support for families, introductions to employers, and employees who joined recently can receive shares without waiting a full year.
I appreciate @MelanieCanva and her team for thinking about what people will need after leaving.
I run a business and have a job myself. I know people make plans around their salaries. Supporting parents, paying EMIs, saving for something they’ve wanted for years.
Losing a job still hurts. But having time and support to figure out your next step matters a lot.
We often say “bada socho.” @rajshamani is someone I admire for having the grit to keep working towards it.
There’s a positive kind of stubbornness in how he keeps going. Good to see someone from our generation setting that example.
Ever left a meeting annoyed that you didn’t get to show how much you knew?
I’ve felt that. But the more I learn, the less I need to squeeze a point into every conversation.
I’d rather speak when I have something useful to add.
“Come back later” is a strange thing to hear from a tool you pay to save time. @claudeai verified Ultra users can now use their weekly allowance without a five hour cap.
That’s useful. My workload arrives in bursts. I’d want my AI subscription to accommodate that.
"What if it all goes wrong?”
I’ve rehearsed that conversation so often, I can find a problem before there’s even a plan.
I’d like to give “what if it works?” a little more airtime.
“Who’ll handle this if you move up?”
Funny how being good at your job can become the reason you’re stuck doing it.
I’d rather build a team that can function without me than spend another year being congratulated for being available for everything.
Pov: you ask a founder what their brand does
founder: 45-minute TED talk
sales team: different TED talk
customer: "so… it's an app?"
Feynman said if you can't explain it simply, you don't get it.
Clarity is cheaper than ads.
