A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued again for southwestern Nebraska starting at midnight tonight until 11 a.m. Saturday morning (October 31, 2026). Fog could cause visibility to drop as low as a quarter mile, if not less, at times into the start of Halloween.
This is your reminder that Daylight Saving Time Ends this Sunday, November 1st at 2am. Turn your clocks back one hour when you go to bed Saturday night. It's a good time to test the batteries in your smoke alarms too. I'm looking forward to an extra hour of sleep this weekend.
Best chances for showers and thunderstorms will be Friday and Monday. Rain chance has increased for Halloween. Good chance of rain on Election Day. Looks like it will be cooler for much of next week with high temperatures returning to the 50s.
FRIDAY FORECAST UPDATE: The forecast has changed for those of you going to the Nebraska football game Saturday evening. The rain chance now looks to be increasing from tailgating to end of the game.
Friday forecast update: For those of you going out to trick-or-treat Saturday evening. It will be mainly cloudy and cool with an increasing chance of rain.
It is going to be mostly cloudy to cloudy this weekend with a chance of rain. Saturday has a better chance than Sunday in several locations.

Mostly sunny and mild Thursday. Showers and thunderstorms look likely for Friday and Friday night. Rain chance continues to decrease for Halloween. Storm system brings a good chance of rain for Monday and Tuesday.
