Nobody really gets it. Nikole Hannah Jones was raised in Iowa. She has a white mother. And I remember reading an article about how her Black American father never introduced her to her Black extended family. This whole school project was intended to give her daughter the Black, ghetto, hood childhood she never had & romanticized. There’s a lot more going on here, but that’s the main character…she needs therapy

🚨 Arrested for murder. Charged with manslaughter. Home on bail in 3 days.
An ex-NYPD detective is accused of shooting a Black father dead and driving off. Koran Irvine, 46, was driving home from his job at Con Ed, where he'd worked for 20 years. Prosecutors say a near-collision turned into tailgating, then one shot through the back window of his car, fired from Victor Romero's Range Rover. Police say Romero, 62, kept driving into New Jersey and never called 911. They found him the next day at his security job and recovered three guns. The DA charged him with manslaughter instead of murder. Bail was set at $1 million, and he posted it the next day. "The idea of him being free after this charge… we think it's a travesty," Irvine's family said outside court. Romero hasn't entered a plea and hasn't been convicted. He's due back in court Tuesday. If anyone else had fired that shot, would it still be murder?

It really says a lot about the country that he is allowed to just resign.

The disproportionate criminalization of Black people starts at a young age. While Black and white kids use drugs at similar rates, Black youth make up 24% of kids confined for drug offenses, despite comprising just 14% of the general youth population.

Yall know we’re discussing…
New: Civil rights group the National Urban League is coming out in opposition to a NYC Council bill that would require companies like Amazon to directly employ “last-mile” delivery and warehouse workers – instead of relying on third-party contractors.

1/ On your show you called Ron Daniels a conservative. Daniels is a Democrat who once worked on Rev Jesse Jackson’s presidential campaign & at Rainbow Push. 2/ You’re running around yelling FBA(goofy), not understanding that Daniels—the man you’re quoting—is now the Pan Africanist leader of NAARC. You saw this clip being shared on your timeline & clumsily tried to repurpose it as content, not knowing any of the context, most importantly that Daniels has become the person he once railed against. I can’t imagine producing content around redress & knowing nothing about Daniels outside of one clip.
Flag on the play. I didn't endorse Ron Daniels or his ideology. I agreed with ONE statement he made in that Tony Brown's Journal clip. I even said so in my video. The full video, not just the 44-second clip, makes that clear. I imagine Yvette, like me, doesn't appreciate having her words taken out of context. Next time, please @RealTimBlack

As turnout in Texas nears 3 million votes, Hispanic turnout is now exceeding presidential levels. More Hispanics have voted than did at this point in the 2024 presidential election. What's driving this huge increase? Young voters.

Nixon hit the nail on the head with this take. It is accurate. Many Dem candidates are wooden, safe, dry, and low energy. They are afraid of their own shadow and to just be themselves. Voters sense this. It just doesn't work in many cases and pass the voter vibe test.
Angie Nixon: We keep losing because we listen to the consultants. People are just tired. They're tired of the people suited up that are so poll tested and rigid. They want someone that is AUTHENTIC. They want someone who they can see themselves in—and I'm that person.

Y’all never experience joy in this life & it shows. That’s why you work so hard to make everyone else miserable. It’s jealousy. All the surgery, money & access never fills the hole where your soul should be. God never knew you.
I told you. She’s a straight up ghetto black communist bitch. Blacks deserve better.

It should be apparent to all by now that Jared Ball is just a man who likes to complain. What he’s describing here happens all the time in media—you talk to a reporter for two hours and they take from it your least dynamic or salient points. Or they decide not to do the story at all. Ball is a professional whiner & complainer. youtu.be/vElVghCZPLU?is=OtUQ…

Why would anyone ever try to spread the narrative that Black people across the world are all the same. Such a foolish idea.

"There needs to be a long conversation regarding the state of Black people within the Democratic Party." Angie Nixon described Black voters as feeling “undervalued” by Dems who often wait “until last minute" to speak with them. 🎧 #TheConversation: politi.co/47wneWR

Pan Africanists are unfit to lead #ADOS. Listen to James Smalls discuss how Africans robbed him of $500,000 and put roots on him to kill him. Imagine how that money could’ve been put to use here in America for our impoverished communities.

In 2020, we were forcing politicians to discuss closing the racial wealth gap. We were the reason why that advocacy gained traction. In 2026, some of y’all are following a bum who says he doesn’t owe you sh*t. What do you expect to be the outcome? #ADOS

6/ CELEBRITY PHILANTHROPY LeBron has a school etc. Or a celeb funds scholarships or launches a community initiative. The publicity is enormous. But philanthropy depends on private priorities and continued funding. Public education policy creates obligations that can be debated, funded and enforced.

7/ It happens year after year, and there is near zero collaboration, just a new person to follow until the next star gets here. It’s tiresome.

5/ EYL/BOYCE The idea that entrepreneurship/investment alone will liberate ADOS. Business ownership creates opportunities, but not everyone can become an entrepreneur. We’re wealthless AND what happens to workers, retirees, disabled people and families who need stronger public institutions?

I heard him say every Black person should give $5 to an HBCU and almost fell into a depression, because it’s obvious he’s just winging it. This is a recipe for us remaining STUCK debating one wild hot take after another. Meanwhile ADOSAF already has an education agenda—as part of our black agenda—which includes HBCUs, but these people don’t want organized political action. They want content. It’s maddening.
Political incompetence and charlatans are why Black American politics is in the toilet. We have political scientists, economists, historians, social scientists.

4/BUY BLACK We’ve repeatedly been told that redirecting our spending will transform our communities. Supporting businesses can matter, but consumer spending cannot independently overcome concentrated poverty, unequal access to capital, exclusion from public contracts or the lineage wealth gap.
