This time, we're playing with ink, color, and, perhaps most importantly, everything an artist chooses *not* to show. Imagine your character emerging from absolute darkness. Not painted in their entirety, nor simply placed against a black background, but revealed through scattered pigments, sweeping brushstrokes, and fragments of their familiar features. A glimpse of an eye. The curve of a smile. A flash of color where the darkness briefly gives way. How little of someone must we see before we recognize them? **That, darlings, is the invitation.** We've been refining two versions of this particular ink experiment, and **the second version** offers a wonderful opportunity for more expressive movement, distinctive poses, and a little additional freedom for the character to emerge from the shadows. Your reference establishes *who* the character is, not how they must stand or where they must look. Let the composition discover something new about them.
