Watch this 1-min clip from recent interview about my campaign for Brattleboro Selectboard. I was born and raised here. Love this town. Concerned about growing gap between rich & poor, housing shortage, opioid crisis. Full interview here: youtu.be/n5wTT9dYBNI?si=6pqz… #VTpoli

After deliberately choosing to unshelter nearly 1,500 vulnerable Vermonters, the state opens two small shelters that will accommodate a tiny fraction of them. Hooray? thevpo.org/2024/11/02/the-po…

1/ Help us help people with complex needs. I know there are folks giving $25, $500, $1000, $4000 to those running for office. Match your donation by helping people in our state survive.

If you are fortunate enough to be able to give large political donations, match those donations to End Homelessness Vermont to keep extremely vulnerable people alive.

Simple message from housing advocates: Vermont’s mass unsheltering is a crisis, available resources are tapped out, and only the governor can initiate the needed action. thevpo.org/2024/09/26/the-da…

What we are doing to human beings in this state is not ok.
No virtue signaling, no categorizing, not a single person exited to the street deserves to not have shelter.
This is not a sign of a humane society.

We have split the atom, we have put men on the moon.
Technology is not the barrier here - by a damn long shot.
We must learn to truly value human connection, or our entire society will continue to crumble like this.
Crying by 8am. We are so far from the VT we believe we are. Today we are exiting hundreds of children, people with disabilities, people who lost their housing in floods to the streets. Nowhere close to any any type of humanity.

Shame on @GavinNewsom. Clearing encampments is bad policy. The second you follow the right wing extremist Supreme Court, you become no better.
Sleeping is a functional need.

I have to be completely honest. Getting up day after day to do the best I can to support people through a system that is intentionally making it harder for them to succeed in a democracy that is failing is less than inspiring. #vtpoli

Until 1920, it was illegal for women to vote.
Until 1964, it was legal to reject a job applicant because she was a woman.
Until 1974, banks could legally refuse to issue credit cards to women.
Women should not have to fight against patriarchy for their basic human rights.

The impact of encampment removals is "the equivalent of having your house burned down multiple times a year — just over and over again, you’re losing everything and starting from scratch each time."

I am grateful to the Legislature for answering my office’s plea to explicitly codify the crime of nonconsensual “deepfake” pornography. This use of artificial intelligence to harm women and girls is illegal, and it will not be tolerated by my office.
