Nothing but positive vibes for the Aussies today. (Well, tonight) Chasing down 288 on a day 5 pitch is gonna take some getting but the wicket doesn’t look like it’s crumbling! What are folks thoughts?
Gonna stay off here for a bit until the Marnus pile on finishes! But seriously time to feck off Marnus! :)
Dear Pat Cummins. I owe you an apology for saying your decision to bowl first was as idiotic as when Hussain sent the Aussies in at the Gabba in 2002. (Although I could retract my apology if the Aussies lose-ha)
Great yarn @HanMurphy93 seriously good! watoday.com.au/national/west…
Like a lot of cricket fans I can get irrational and emotion about my cricket team but this is truly embarrassing by the Aussies! Can’t remember a worse first session! Confidence is shot! Bailey has to go as well!
Aussies decision to bowl first could end up being as idiotic as when Nasser Hussain chose to bowl first at the Gabba in 2002!
Ok, I’m getting confused about Head’s century. Is it his first outside of OZ or second? Mixed commentary on here! :)
Good to see the Aussies showing some grit and resilience in their second dig. The fact Boland can make it look easy shows how woeful the batters were in their second dig first innings. Although with the new ball due in 12 overs I still think SA will win!
Dear Australian selectors
How have you been? Just writing to you again to politely ask WTF is Marnus still in the Test side?
Regards
Frustrated fan.
Don’t want to jinx it but if Renshaw gets a 100 it would be one of the grittest innings by an OZ batter in a while!
Gotta admire the brilliant foresight of the Aussie selectors. Maddinson is not out zero from 29 balls! Ha
Well, in some personal news (I’ve been dying to write one of these-ha) I’ve just left my govt gig and am looking to get bk on the tools (journalism) or do some comms work. Hit me up if any gigs going. Thanks
The city of Fremantle will be heaving tomorrow if the @freodockers win the flag tomorrow. It will be the biggest shindig the city has ever seen! theguardian.com/sport/2026/s…
As a @WestCoastEagles tragic this was tough to write but I’m def barracking for the @freodockers on grand final day! :) watoday.com.au/national/west…
Does immortality await the @freodockers if they win their maiden flag? @guardian theguardian.com/sport/blog/2…
