Rolling Stone is ragebait, I get that. What I don't is how basically all music media outlets cater to people that music is just background to workouts and drives. There's still people who crave real discussion and thoughtful reaction to the artform, not just top 40 beat watch.

My lukewarm take: Championship rings were cooler when you could actually wear them as rings. Now they just look like a fourth grader designed it “and and it’s got eight hundwed diamonds and wubies and and and you can push a button and pizza gets delivered to you”

FWIW in this era of gigantic rings, the knicks one is dope af. I just think they were cooler when they were actual rings.

Here's a post only for the chess nerds: As a low intermediate player, is there anything more satisfying than wrecking someone who tries the scholar's mate/wayward queen attack? Play stupid chess, lose ELO.

Obviously Laffy is the star of this play, Zibby with a great pass too, but something I love is how Perreault doesn't just try to jam it in and biff it like so many NHLers would. Nope, knows he has time to settle it first, that's the IQ and poise I love about him so much.
