"I think it's a credit to @usahockey and going back to the NTDP. We got a lot of guys that have come through that program and everyone's played together at some point and the camaraderie in the locker room has been awesome." 🇺🇸

There is a reason the guys wanted best on best and it has been on display since Wednesday. Tonight did more than show their longing for it. The game created the passion for a generation who has been missing this type of game for far too long. Well done all who made this happen.

As Drew Fortescue celebrated @usahockey's gold medal win, he wore a "TK" hat in honor of Maj. Tom Kennedy, a decorated U.S. Army officer and former @ArmyWP_Hockey player who was killed while deployed to Afghanistan in 2012.
Tom was a close friend of Drew's father, Billy.
Now Tom's son, Brody, is a hockey player, too.
Billy Fortescue vowed to Tom's parents that their son would never be forgotten. With help from Drew, Team USA, and @DBIronmenHockey, that promise is being kept.

Danny Nelson of @NDHockey is the youngest forward on the @usahockey World Junior roster -- a remarkable achievement, considering he often played defense before arriving to @USAHockeyNTDP.
