One victim stabbed at N. High St & E. 4th followed by multiple Shots Fired N. High St & E. 2nd. Two suspects fled on foot with guns. Large crowd running.
So far some vehicles struck & nobody reported hit.

Here’s what you should know:
Officer Fields was involved in a tragic critical incident that resulted in the death of an armed 15-year-old suspect. Following the incident, the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) conducted an independent investigation. The matter was presented to a grand jury, which declined to bring criminal charges.
Nearly 500 days later, Officer Fields was unceremoniously fired by the Mayor and Safety Service Director.
We believe this decision was unjust and inconsistent with the facts of the case, Officer Fields' training, and the department's policies and procedures.
Officer Fields did not ask for this fundraiser. The Akron FOP Lodge 7 is organizing this effort because we believe every worker deserves due process, a fair application of labor agreements, and the presumption that disciplinary actions should be based on facts rather than political considerations.

He wasn't the unfortunate victim of a traffic accident. He was intentionally struck by a vehicle while standing there in uniform, doing his job.
There's a big difference.
The fact that Larry was directing traffic tells you what he was doing when he died. 𝗜𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗱.
And I think we're becoming way too afraid to call things what they actually are.
If someone intentionally drove a vehicle into a group of journalists covering a story, would the headline say they were "𝑘𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑑 𝑤ℎ𝑖𝑙𝑒 𝑟𝑒𝑝𝑜𝑟𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑛𝑒𝑤𝑠"?
Of course not.
We'd talk about the attack. We'd talk about the intent. We'd talk about why they were targeted.
Larry Henderson was a 33-year law enforcement veteran and a United States Marine. He spent his career serving his community. He wasn't the victim of a "crash." 𝐇𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦.
There is a difference between dying while directing traffic and being murdered while directing traffic.

Capital City Lodge #9 to Honor Westerville Officers for Extraordinary Bravery
At our August Membership Meeting, the Dewey R. Stokes Capital City Lodge #9 will proudly recognize Westerville Police Officers Clayton Schaefer and Darik Breuninger, both members of our Lodge, for their extraordinary courage and selfless actions on September 27, 2025.
At approximately 6:45 a.m., the officers responded to a residence on a report of a 16-year-old female experiencing a mental health crisis. Upon arrival, they observed the juvenile standing on the roof of a garage, approximately 16 feet above the ground.
As the officers attempted to communicate with her and de-escalate the situation, the juvenile suddenly jumped from the roof headfirst. Without hesitation and with complete disregard for their own safety, Officers Schaefer and Breuninger rushed forward and caught her, breaking her fall and undoubtedly saving her life.
The juvenile was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, Officer Breuninger sustained serious injuries during the rescue and remains off duty recovering while awaiting surgery.
Lodge President Brian Steel praised the officers' actions, stating:
"This incident is a powerful reminder of the dangers our FOP members face every day, often without warning. It is also a testament to their extraordinary courage, compassion, and unwavering commitment to protecting the lives of others, even complete strangers. These officers lived the oath they took to serve and protect, placing another person's life ahead of their own. We could not be prouder of Officers Schaefer and Breuninger, and it is our honor to recognize their bravery."
