I was a fun sponge yesterday, but today I have GOOD news! I’ve made the final in the @IrishBookAward! I'm over the moon to represent NI/The North and to be in such wonderful company. I've no notions of winning, I'm just delighted to be in the final. I'm going to need a new frock!
If this wasn't bad enough, now I'm being accused of doing it myself because, apparently the handwriting is the same as the note I have on the door about not bringing drinks inside. Yes, I wanted the expense of installing cctv and having the door repainted🙄
I'm officially done.
And so it begins. This is what I arrived to this morning. If there are any positives to be taken from it, at least they can spell.
I could still cry, though.
Seriously, look at this face.
Do you realise how hard it is to leave him every day?
But, he needs fed so I must struggle on, guilty and sad 😭
Today's prompt in #IrishBookADay is 'Share an Irish book that you bought in a local bookshop.'
(I did put money in the till, honest guv!)
If you haven't read The Last Days of Rabbit Hayes, and it's sequel Below the Big Blue Sky, you're missing two absolute gems!

An Irish language book
Today's prompt for #IrishBookADay is 'Share an Irish Language Book'. I've chosen the upcoming third of Hector Ó hEochagáin's trilogy. The first two gave us the words, this one puts them into every day conversations.
