We’ve set up an “on-call” regional anaesthesia service (our most experienced RA practitioners) to ensure Covid+ surgeries amenable to RA alone do not undergo GA unless absolutely necessary

Morning all! What's most reliable technique to add to a brachial plexus block for T2 distribution renal vasc surgery🤔. Tunnelling e.g not v. well tolerated so far despite LA infiltration, sedation etc. T2 paravertebral? @mjoldman @RegionalAnaesUK @ajrmacfarlane @docbaskar

Heh @rcoa . Re GPAS Chapter 17 Recommendation 9.2 re regional Anaesthesia “Where alternative techniques are available, the patient’s preference must be fully taken into account.“ So this applies to all modes of Anaesthesia ........ right?
