Brooklyn Netcast retweeted
43 execs in NBA history have run one team (in the modern era) for 10+ years.
Sean Marks ranks out of 43:
41st in win% (.419)
42nd in playoff win% (8-21)
Tied 2nd-fewest series wins (1)
This is a historically awful resume for a 10 year exec
At what point do results matter?
We are now in Year 11 of a "we want to start winning games" year and the team looks worse than ever, very few young players have actual promise
@joetsai1999 Please stop letting this grifter fool you
The only other current GMs with 10+ years are Pat Riley and Sam Presti why did Sean Marks get this kind of job securty?
Jokes on you @HoustonRockets
We are gonna be in the relegation zone. 4d chess, checkmate.
I don’t think I’d be so negative about this team just 3 games into the season if they were losing games just based off missed shots and just not being as good as other teams.
They are getting out-hustled and aren’t competing on defense. That’s THE issue.
The bad news : The Brooklyn Nets don’t play with much effort at all
The other bad news: The Brooklyn Nets aren’t more talented than almost anyone in the league
Pretty bad recipe.
This fight is exactly what the team needed to show. Bringing it down to the wire against a proven playoff team. LOVE the energy, this is fun hoops.
I am becoming slightly concerned about Egor Dëmin’s three-point shot.
Struggled in Summer League, pre-season and now shot looks out of sorts to start the season. Did someone change his shot? The form looks different.
I really don’t know how anyone isn’t atleast tired of Sean Marks.
Yes, he’s gotten unlucky. But he’s also had quite a few blunders over his tenure and isn’t showing that he can get this team back to where they need to be.
I said going into season this was a 30-52 team.
Marks is good at accumulating assets and seller moves but he struggles with identifying the right cash in / win now moves is my read
Even during 7/11 it sounds like KD basically had to force him to trade for Harden, 7/11 was FA signings not trades, it feels like he hasn't adjusted to FA not mattering and keeps trying to hoard cap space for some reason when tradable contracts + picks + respectability is the new way to attract talent not cap space
