At our fall DC Luncheon, we celebrated the women who make it all possible. 🌟 USW's Roxanne Brown (@Brownrox), AFT's Evelyn DeJesus (@AFTEVPDeJesus), and IBEW's Nettie Stuckey have spent their careers organizing, advocating, and making sure workers have a voice. Their commitment to the labor movement and to working people is leadership we celebrate! And speaking of the ballot, #EmergeAlums U.S. Rep. Lateefah Simon (@RepLSimon), Tram Nguyen (@TeamTram), and LaKesha Womack (@LaKeshaWomack) joined friend of Emerge Keenan Austin Reed for a conversation about the women building our congressional future. Together, they represent exactly what the Emerge pipeline was built to produce: women who are prepared, ready, and winning. Let's double our representation and double our impact - November, we’re ready! 😎✨

I’m still thinking about the 2nd Women in Leadership Conference at the Akron Art Museum! More than 200 women came together to share ideas, build connections, and lift each other up. Between the conversations on stage and the ones that happened over lunch, I keep coming back to the same thing: when women support one another, we all rise.

We represent workers in a variety of trade-exposed industries, including tires, steel, aluminum, & paper. That’s why we work with policymakers like the Unites States Trade Representative to push for fair trade that accounts for workers and their communities. So what is the USTR?

The right to #strike is fundamental. It gives workers the power to stand together, bargain fairly and fight for better working conditions. Workers don’t need more government interference in legal strikes. They need their rights protected. Section 107 must be repealed.

My union sister and @Steelworkers International President @BrownRox is right: if we want to rebuild the middle class, increase worker power and balance the scales in this country, we must organize working people and grow union membership. laprogressive.com/labor-soci…

For many working families in this country, the American Dream feels out of reach. But just like it did for Marcelo, a union job, collective bargaining and the power of solidarity can make that dream, reality. More from @Steelworkers President @BrownRox: laprogressive.com/labor-soci…

In recent years, violent attacks and serious crimes against letter carriers have become twice as frequent. We join @NALC_National in calling on Congress to cosponsor and pass the Protect Our Letter Carriers Act to keep these public servants safe.

Thank you @PeteButtigieg for standing with @Steelworkers at local 7-1 in Whiting, IN! #EndTheLockout ✊🏾✊🏾
Standing in solidarity with the hardworking men and women of @steelworkers in Whiting, Indiana, who have been locked out for more than two months. It’s time for serious negotiations for a fair deal so this lockout can end and these Hoosiers can get back on the job and earn an income to support themselves and their families. abc7chicago.com/post/food-dr…

Tens of thousands of American steelworkers stand at the ready to supply our nation with high-quality products. The White House – the people’s house – belongs not to one person or administration, but to all of us.

Congratulations to the @TheWNBPA union sisters on unanimously ratifying a new contract. The players stuck together, demanded what they’re worth, and won a contract that properly recognizes their success. Union women get it done. aflcio.org/press/releases/af…
