ONSHORE & REINDUSTRIALIZE 🇺🇸 For years, officials in D.C. sent America’s jobs & industries overseas. That included the Test Labs that examine all of the electronic devices consumers use in the U.S. Today, less than 4% of electronics used by Americans are tested here. And there has been a total lack of reciprocity. Over 80% of devices used by consumers in the U.S. are tested at labs located in countries that ban all devices tested in the U.S. or in any country other than their own. That has been a bad and one sided deal for America. That changes now. The FCC will be voting to require all Test Labs to be located in the U.S. or in countries with Reciprocal Economies.

This entire non-story was a test of whether one’s TDS exceeded one’s analytical capabilities. Many failed.

American national interests, rather than the perspectives of Wall Street, Davos, or Brussels.
Today, Chairman @RepMoolenaar sent a letter focusing on Iran, AI, and autos to @realDonaldTrump ahead of his meeting next week with Xi Jinping. In the letter, Moolenaar credits Trump with leading a historic shift in U.S. policy toward China that has helped advance “the perspective of American national interests, rather than the perspectives of Wall Street, Davos, or Brussels.”

China has historically recruited individuals living in the United States, including students, to act as agents on its behalf on U.S. soil. This is a reminder that unregistered foreign agents operating under the direction of the Chinese embassy, its consulates, or their proxies expose themselves to consequences under U.S. law.
Liability for Unregistered Foreign Agents: The Department of Justice would like to remind the public of federal laws that require individuals to register as foreign agents when they act in the United States at the direction or control of a foreign government or foreign principal, and that they will face civil and criminal liability if they fail to do so. Lawful protest and independent advocacy are protected rights. But if a foreign government or foreign principal secretly directs, controls, funds, or coordinates your activity in the United States, federal disclosure laws may apply. May God Bless the United States of America. Learn your obligations under FARA and 18 U.S.C. § 951: justice.gov/nsd-fara

All because the CCP didn’t build an automotive industry for their own domestic consumption, they built it to destroy the industrial base of western nations. Some, like Europe, were too stupid to realize that and have written their own obituary. The US won’t make that mistake!
China’s car market has deepened its slump this summer, with sales plunging and a flood of new product driving automaker margins to record lows, putting the world’s biggest auto market on pace for its first-ever double-digit annual decline, industry data shows. Sales of new passenger vehicles fell 25 percent to 1.35 million in July for a seventh-straight month of declines, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers said Aug. 12. Deliveries dropped 24 percent to 9.6 million in the first seven months of the year. The figures, which cover sedans, crossovers, SUVs, multipurpose vehicles and minibuses, reflect stalled economic growth, higher fuel prices and a 5 percent purchase tax on electrified vehicles imposed in January. The unprecedented decline marks a reversal for a market that has been the industry’s growth engine for two decades. It is forcing automakers to look abroad for sales growth, pushing exports to record levels. That strategy, pursued by Chinese and international carmakers alike from their underutilized plants in the country, masks mounting pressure on their local businesses. China’s overseas pressure valve, meanwhile, is stoking competition in the global car market. Exports for all major Chinese carmakers have stayed robust this year. For the first seven months, 5.35 million passenger vehicles were shipped overseas, up 73 percent from a year earlier, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers. #china #news #cars #automotive #autoindustry

This action is far more than a ban on Chinese robots. It’s a mandate for the free world to create its own robotics stack, and build a substantial portion of it in America.
FACT SHEET —Today, the FCC updated its Covered List to include two new categories of devices—“advanced robotic devices” (defined as mobile robots, such as humanoids and quadrupeds) and, separately, connected power inverters produced in foreign countries. Read more 🧵⬇️

NEW The FCC has now added two new categories of devices to our Covered List, which bans new versions from import or sale in America. 1. Advanced robotic devices, such as humanoids and quadrupeds produced in foreign countries. 2. Power inverters produced in foreign countries. This action follows determinations by Executive Branch nat sec agencies that the devices pose unacceptable risks to our national security. It includes exemptions for devices that, based on a DOW or DHS finding, pose no unacceptable threat.

The CCP is not interested in a constructive relationship and seeks to turn our country into a compliant source of capital and technology to fuel its global ambitions.

"They show that over a period of years starting during the 2020 election cycle, the People’s Republic of China carried out what is believed to be the largest compromise of election data in history—resulting in China’s illicit acquisition of 220 million U.S. voter files."
Securing our elections is vital to preserving trust in American democracy. Post-2020 concerns led to thorough examinations of voting systems, security, and registrations. Key documents and reports available below. ➡️ WH.GOV/Election-Integrity
