But what the actual fuck happened in this game, Bayern held to mostly all long shots outside the box, Leverkusen held to 2 shots & scored 1, had 0 box entries bar a corner....

Great game to call out one quirk of my game control index
64% poss., & not just 48% field tilt from HSV...
Check their passing flows too. tons of passes within their own third
Game Control assigns these passes as a small value to Regensburg.. enough of them -> Game Control
What I probably need to do is add criteria into my model, basically saying "if you're leading (maybe by 2+?), these points are assigned to YOU, not the opponent"
To capture situations in games where teams sit back with possession because why take many risks
And after a great discussion with @VPGedanken I’ve made some gamestate adjustments to address this!
