Some more Kyle Monangai clips from Week 13 against the Eagles: Play 1️⃣: Good job by Monangai to threaten the cutback by opening up his shoulders and hips, which gets Jalen Carter #98 to bite and opens up the A-gap for him to attack. Monangai gets 5 good yards. Play 2️⃣: The power and strength by Monangai here is awesome. Lowers his shoulder into 2 Eagles defenders at the same time (Nakobe Dean #17 and Sydney Brown #21) and is able to overpower them and keep moving forward. Reed Blankenship #32 comes in for support, but Monangai is still able to fight forward until Adoree Jackson #8 gets a piece of him. 8 tough and physical yards on this run. Play 3️⃣: Draft analysts were low on Monangai because they felt he was too slow to generate explosive plays, but I thought that was way overstated. One of the reasons why was because his open-field vision is really good. He’s not a RB who is just linear; he sees and will run to open space when it’s there to be had. 31-yard run. Play 4️⃣: Even thought Monangai isn’t super explosive vertically, he is laterally. He makes Nakobe Dean miss 1v1 by taking advantage of Dean’s momentum coming off of the block. He gets 9 yards. = 2025, Week 13 = #Bears @kylemonangai
