Effective October 23, 2026, the Department of State ordered non-emergency U.S. government employees and U.S. government employee family members to leave Saudi Arabia due to safety risks.
Iranian-supported Houthis have engaged in hostilities against Saudi Arabia, including attacks on civilian airports and other critical infrastructure resulting in civilian casualties and severe travel disruptions. The hostilities have the potential to escalate rapidly beyond that immediate area.
U.S. government employees working in Saudi Arabia require special authorization from Chief of Mission to use any airport in Saudi Arabia following recent missile and UAV attacks on airports in the Kingdom.
King Khalid International Airport (RUH) in Riyadh announced a partial reopening as of October 25 for domestic flights and some international flights operated by national carriers. A limited number of flights normally based at RUH are operating out of Qassim-based Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz International Airport (ELQ).
Operations at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah (JED) are operational with some delays and cancellations.
Operations at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam (DMM) are operational with some delays and cancellations.

This is NOT a risk to gold prices and the reason why explains an important lesson about gold and bitcoin that very few people understand.
There are obvious feasibility questions, but we can ignore those and even assume it pans out.
Based on Marathon’s estimated goal, a large reactor could produce 5t/yr. So even if you build 100 reactors thats 500 t/yr, equivalent to 14% of global mine production. But mine supply isn't what matters.
Other commodities are consumed. Oil gets burned, copper gets trapped in existing infrastructure, ect. So new production is required to meet continuing demand.
But gold (and bitcoin) are unique bc they aren't consumed. Nearly all the gold ever mined still exists and is available to be traded. So the relevant supply curve isnt the flow of newly mined supply, its the willingness of the holders of the existing stock to sell at a given price.
And even 100 reactors would only increase above ground supply by 0.2%/yr.
Price doesn’t go up to incentivize new production. It rises (or falls) to a level where enough existing holders are willing to sell to meet the demand of buyers.
Which is why the most explosive price appreciation in Bitcoin occurred when new coins were being mined significantly faster than today. Bc new issuance isn't driving price, its demand relative to the available stock.
*The fact that gold isn’t tied to marginal cost dynamics is also why goldminers have often struggled to earn adequate returns. But that’s a story for another time.

Important thread on Middle East Israel Netanyahu watch, here we go again! Round two tonight of Iran war watch, imo tonight’s the night (I know I said that last night lol, but there’s more signs tonight) & also I just don’t see a Sunday night aka Monday morning Israeli Iran time strike, but it’s possible. So let’s break it down with flight radar screenshots from this minute & my thoughts.
Yet again for the second night in a row there is absolutely nothing flowing into the Middle East in terms of cargo jets, military aircraft & w/e other normal activity that would be going on right now, this is again totally unprecedented! I watch these almost nightly & there’s usually at least 2-4 or more c-17’s, c-130’s, c-5M’s & other planes flowing into the A.O.R. Put it this way, I’ve never seen what I’m seeing now aka nothing at all even heading towards the A.O.R. Anyone that knows anything about military strikes knows that you need the whole A.O.R. Completely cleared before you can strike & this is what we’re looking at as I type this.
Now what’s going on, what’s in the air & what’s this telling me? As you can see in these screenshots & the ones in this two post thread, there is literally nothing! Near Israel & surrounding countries, there’s a c-5M (our biggest cargo plane) on its way back to Ramstein, after a 19+hr flight that actually started in Adana Turkey! So the Turks are currently supplying the gulf countries aka Israeli puppet states & Egypt at the same time. This c-5M stopped in Cairo for a few hrs, then it went to Abu Dhabi and Dubai aka the uae. So if you want anymore proof of whose side Erdogan is on, look no further.
There’s been dozens of flights going from Turkey all over the Middle East the last few weeks (I’ve tracked them) supplying those countries to attack the Houthis in Yemen, which is what the pact they signed says to do. As you can also see there’s a c-17 heading to Ramstein from Djibouti (where America has an AFB)… I’ve also tracked dozens of the same flights the last few days, transporting weapons, personnel & w/e else to Djibouti. Pair this with all of these flights from Turkey to Egypy, uae & Saudi Arabia and it’s pretty obvious that all of those countries are gearing up for a major attack on Yemen & possibly help from the U.S. presence in Djibouti.
Lastly for the movement in the Middle East is a Russian “special flight squadron” aka their biggest transport aircraft the ilyushin-96. I believe tho that this is either solely a Russian jumbo jet for high end diplomats, nuclear scientists, Russian govt officials & whoever else. As you can see in the screenshot, this is the Russian jet that has been flying nuclear scientists & other Russian officials out of Iran the last few days & Bahrain as well. This current flight though? I have no clue where this one’s going lol. Somewhere in Africa it looks like.
Other than what I mentioned we have 2 kc-46 Pegasus refueling tankers aka our specialty tankers flying over the Persian gulf (which is totally normal), but do you see that plane over Saudi Arabia? This interests me, because it has no label aka it’s labeled as “n/a” & was 12,000 ft in the air as of 15 mins ago before I started typing this out. N/a means they’re masking & hiding something. We’ll see soon what that is & what happens in the coming hours.
