Throwback to when Estêvão Willian single-handedly handled Barcelona at their own backyard. 👏🏼

🚨🔵 VAR officials have now APOLOGISED for wrongly ruling out Estêvão Willian’s second goal against Manchester United on Saturday. 🤦♂️
They even produced an 11-minute video explaining and analysing the decision they got wrong.
But honestly, what was there to check in the first place? That was not even a tight offside call. From the camera angle, Estêvão looked clearly onside, yet somehow they managed to disallow the goal.
This is exactly why VAR decisions continue to frustrate football fans. We depend on technology to help officials get these important decisions right, but what happens when the technology itself produces such an obvious mistake?
And now, after taking away what could have been another magnificent moment for the young Brazilian, all we get is an apology.
An apology doesn't give Estêvão his goal or that moment back.
It's absolutely CRAZY. Sighhhhh. 😭💙
I’m honestly in disbelief with how bad this performance has been. 30% possession against Tottenham at Stamford Bridge. Xabi got it horribly wrong today and some of the performances from the likes of Palmer, Rogers, Henderson etc has been shockingly bad.
What a horrible night.
