The welcome and professionalism we received from Louise & Paula Huggard @ButlerArms was second to none. 24 tour guides are not easy to please. We were all very pleased indeed. #Waterville #kerry #tourism Compliments also to their excellent chef Craig Newell and staff. – at Limerick, Ireland

As we pretty well expected, indoor dining is off the table for the moment - if you’ll forgive the pun! It’s just heartbreaking for the industry - who are not just ‘an industry’ but real people with families- who work so hard. #FoodiesFightBack

We need to be allowed open indoors like last year in June, safely ( no vaccines last year) the variants do not know if you are staying the night afford us the same respect as hotels and B&Bs – at Kerry, Ireland

An important week for our 270,000 tourism community. So many people have not had the opportunity to work for over a year.Hoping that we get a much needed roadmap with progress markers that builds towards safe & sustainable reopening @MichealMartinTD @LeoVaradkar @cathmartingreen

Disillusioned this evening. 270,000 tourism people, 1 in 10 of all Irish livelihoods. Many tourism people have been unable to work for over a year. In some cases, whole communities are dependent on tourism @MichealMartinTD @LeoVaradkar @cathmartingreen @IHFcomms #TourismJobsCount

It has been a very difficult year for the sector. "Essentially we are on life support. Those supports must continue into reopening... such as in terms of wage subsidies, CRSS supports and rates waivers." - @ElainaFitzKane #TourismJobsCount
"What we all need now is greater clarity and progress markers to allow reopening of society and the economy safely and sutainably" - @ElainaFitzKane
