I think I’ve said everything I really could say about the situation going on currently
I need to do myself a favor and close this book, for my own good 😅
I’ve been seeing this point brought up a lot, and there’s a pretty simple explanation.
Vtubing at its core has always had its subdivisions, said subdivisions are sorted in an hierarchy. Most of the vtuber drama, outrage and controversy on average happen in the lower to middle tier subdivisions. You notice it when you see bigger names in the sphere not dealing with any of the things listen, or handling them in a short professional manner.
Rev and Strawb are going to be very cautious about trying to aim for vtubers in higher stature than them, and that’s simply because those audiences are much more rabid than theirs. It’s a completely different ballpark that they won’t be able to handle, since most of the time they attack someone and let their own audiences proceed with the onslaught.
It’s in the same vein as seeing them have very stagnant growth, not a lot of opportunities, very small social circles, etc. They need to go after people on the same playing field as them to get a reaction. Without a reaction, they look stupid.
One thing no one is talking about.
If what Ember did was wrong, what about Zentreya who also is known to have a voice changer and is likely a man?
Is Rev and Strawb going to attack them next?
Like I've said before, a sinner behaving sinfully is not a surprise. A man using a female model and voice changer is standard procedure for the internet and should have been expected, especially when they always have been honest about using a voice changer.
What I'm more upset by is those who claim to be Christian trying to hold the world to Christian standards without ever intending or attempting to give that person the gospel and those Christians that SHOULD have been examples of Christ to him basically causing this drama by never giving firm boundaries and, in fact, encouraging and engaging in the adult messages privately.
From the looks of things, if instead of egging it on, if someone said "I'm a Christian, I'm uncomfortable with you making that joke so please don't." most of this would have been avoided because at that point, none of the alleged "women saying things to a man they wouldn't say to a man" would not have occurred, when, frankly, even women shouldn't be talking like that with other women.
We are told to flee from sexual immorality and sin.
But it seems so many made excuses because it was "a collab chat." showing their priorities.
Some reality for Christians.
Even if it hurts your social standing and business opportunities, stand for Christ first and be willing to entirely remove yourself from those situations. I personally have done so many times in the past.

I want to address the threat that was made to @darlingstrawbie and her children by someone from my community today. I did NOT ask this to be done and as a point of fact I very specifically told the members of my community (stream and Discord) to NOT harass or brigade Strawb in any way, to say nothing of not threatening her.
This was absolutely unacceptable and abhorrent behavior by this individual and as such they were permanently banned from my community the moment we heard of this happening.
Strawb, I am very sorry this was done to you. I have never sought any harassment or harm to come to you or your family throughout any of what has happened for the last few days, and have made this position very clear publicly.
I wish there was more that I can do beyond banning this person, but I at the very least can do this. Once again, I am very sorry this was done to you.
Other men being in the group chat put aside, it’s still so interesting to me that a group of Christian women who heavily believe in their faith, and now revealed that some of them were married, were being somewhat lewd with one another in private.
Even if it was all jokes, it’s still in a sense vulgar levity. Which, I would like to think, goes against their faith, at least in a traditional sense?
I don’t know. Makes me wonder how true this faith actually is in the public eye if this is what’s happening in private.
The other men who were our husbands and one other male vtuber who was added later for a collab weeks later by you. the original members were me, Celeste and Ember assuming all of us were female considering the group chat you were in was named "vfoid/glizzy gals". The train comment was also made in a chat that only had me, Celeste, Ember, and my husband in it.
Were those strictly female only spaces? technically no and I don't think I ever personally claimed they were.
It still doesn't change the fact that I would not have interacted with Ember in the way that I did or would have been okay with the way he interacted with me if I had known he was a man.

Think about it, take a step back and really absorb the key players in this situation and their reactions to this.
Tectone, Rev, Strawb and Kirsche are going all in because of how much anti-trans rhetoric they spew.
Celestium and Maria are (justifiably) hurt by the lies and deceit from Ember, but most likely won’t condemn the prior four for making this situation their punching bag for days to come.
Powdur, Juju and Leaflit not caring all THAT much because this isn’t as magnanimous of a deal it’s being made out to be and could have been handled in private.
All of the puzzle pieces are there, people. You just have to put them together.

Hey man, have your views, there is nothing wrong with being religious. But when you’re watching stuff that isn’t exactly “pure”, you can’t be too surprised when you see things your faith doesn’t agree with.
I’m not defending Ember because they were lying in private about their identity to friends, I saw the screenshots, peoples feelings about the lies are valid
BUT, and this is a very big but-
I think we need to be honest about where most of this “outrage” is coming from.
As I have stated, if these people were truly close with one another, a proper conversation in private would have happened followed by a public announcements, Ember being honest about their identity, and everyone else’s stance on the matter, wether they supported or not.
Kirsche here is saying Ember would have been fully supported if from the start, they said they were a man using a female vtuber with voice changer. Thats completely fair.
But that’s not what’s happening here…
I watched Ember’s stream. They admitted they were a biological man. They also admitted they are confused about their gender identity. They don’t know if they are legitimately trans or not.
Ember being a man and lying about it in public and private is the forefront of this betrayal and outrage coming from Kirsche, Rev, Strawb, Tectone, etc.
Ember potentially actually being trans?
That’s the quiet part no one is saying out loud. That’s the backbone of all of this outrage.
Most people know how these people view trans people, whether the lens they view it through is political, religious, or otherwise.
As I’ve stated, real friends would have had this squashed in private.
Caricatures putting on public facades?
No.
Ember isn’t innocent. But as an outsider looking in, I’d like to think I know “why” this is actually such a big deal.

Watching @ember_paradox’s stream gives me a lot of insight
I’ve always viewed them as a kind soul that has opinions I disagree with.
I’ve been a passive fan personally, I’ve always enjoyed the Kentucky ballistics and BeardMeatsFood reactions.
I think this situation as a whole should show people there’s a very fine like between real people who have their beliefs and opinions
And extreme caricatures that turn on others at a moments notice. I can tell the difference, and I’m hoping others can as well
Ember seems like a strong individual, they’ll be the caricatures punching bag for a while, but I’m sure they can persevere.
Oh there’s a very simple explanation.
These people are not close with one another. They have been temporary allies United under a common factor-
To be caricatures of right wing characteristics.
Once one notices something different about the other, IE Strawb seeing Ember with a voice changer, all bets are off.
This isn’t about morals and standards, it’s about attention and profit. They have to go after their “own”, they have to be hyperbolic and hypocritical, because at the end of the day, it gets attention. Nothing more, nothing less.
To normal people, this is a complete nothingburger. To them? Their charade is on the line. They have to fully commit to the bit before others point it out. Simple as that.
So from what it sounds like, current drama situation, is...

Can Strawb or someone more familiar with the matter than me tell me why this was so important to cause a public drama fight over? You say it's "consistency", but what is consistency with calling out, publicly at that, friends over what is effectively a rumor with no solid evidence? You're starting shit for no reason.

There’s a reason I call these people caricatures. They don’t care at all about being hypocrites, caught in lies, having dodgy morals, anything. It’s all performative for attention and money, that’s literally it. All the right wing and right leaning features they have are so exaggerated, it’s difficult to take them seriously.

Really goes to show that most of these right wing caricature vtubers aren’t actually as close as they appear.
They’re temporary allies.
One potential slip up of something another doesn’t agree with, suddenly they are on opposing ends.
People wonder why they don’t interact much with one another outside of Twitter, this is why. There’s no substance.
I know she’s a “succubus” (don’t fact check me, it’s been a while), but hasn’t Verosika shown interest in actually getting into a serious relationship? Wasn’t that kinda shown to us towards the end of Apology Tour?
