Piece of general Bible reading advice:
When Jesus is talking, best to let him finish before you decide what he's saying, and then think about the entirety of what he said.
Simple example everyone understands, lotta people read this:
"when you fast, wash your face and make yourself look nice. Then no one will know you are fasting, except your Father, who is with you even in private. He can see what is done in private, and he will reward you."
...and take it to mean you should never let anyone know or find out youre fasting.
But, he was saying that as a conclusion and the primary concern is what he started with:
"When you fast, don’t make yourselves look sad like the hypocrites. They put a look of suffering on their faces so that people will see they are fasting."
Okay great as a guard against being a hypocrite, make a strong effort to conceal your fasting from the world.
Doesnt mean i should deceive my wife and use purging to eat in front of her then secretly vomit the food to have my fast in secret.
Obviously you cant hide fasting from people who know you well and live with you in the same house.
No need to lie to your loved ones, just dont be a fast-for-show hypocrite running around telling everyone.
X.com stupidity:
There is a rate limiter on X.com username checks.
If you type your proposed username into the box, X automatically checks every letter combination as you type, so if you type a longer username and it's no good, so you type another one, you are rate limited and locked out.
This is the stupidest shit ever. Just put a 'check availability' button.

Here's a way to read the Bible:
Sit with Bible, pen, notebook.
Open to whatever book youre working on and pick up where you left off.
Read the text slowly and receptively, just be open to whats there, dont try to grab understanding.
Whenever a part or passage stands out to you, stops your attention from moving forward, feels especially meaningful, or otherwise glows to you, you copy that passage into your notebook.
Continue like this reading and collecting passages until youve filled up most of a page or two. When you reach the end of whatever chapter in the book of study youre on, and close it.
Now look at your passages. Again receptively ponder them as a group, look for themes and connections, consider relations to NT and Jesus teachings.
Once you feel satisfied youve begun to understand why those passages stand out for you, form a prayer to god which is personal to you, related to the themes youve identified, write that down to fill the page.
Done.
Remember when the world become a global Baal worshipping temple devoted to human sacrifice, and its followers sacrificed like 2 billion unborn humans either directly or by preying on young women?

The Catholic Church, and the Orthodox and Coptic churches, are divine resonators for the human heart, helping it to learn to sing true worship, pleasing to God.
I've not spent time in other Christian churches, but I assume they are all various kinds of spiritual resonators akin to these.
