How has snow cover fraction changed? These new datasets added to the Climate Change Initiatives Open Data Portal have the answer:
❄ Snow Cover Fraction from Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (v4.0): Available at about 5 km pixel size for all land areas, excluding Antarctica & Greenland ice sheets
❄ Snow Water Equivalent (v4.0): Available at 0.1 degree spatial resolution for the Northern Hemisphere.
Daily products are available for the period 1979-2023

Zoom in on the details that matter in your climate data 🎯
When working with large climate datasets, it is often necessary to focus on specific areas or time periods. No problem with our Python-based Toolbox:
📈 Time Series Analysis: Track temporal changes at any specific point or region. Get immediate insights into how climate data evolves over time – no complex setup required!
✂️ Region Cutting: Focus on your custom regions of interest. Why process entire global datasets when you only need data from specific areas? Cut straight to the insights you need and create instant visualisations.
