Guys obviously if BC hit more threes that would’ve been a different story but there were definitely times where UMass could’ve taken advantage of a stagnant offense but couldn’t. I misspoke when I said easy. This was definitely not close towards the end
Could just be the Sicko in me but I am stoked for this field and this tournament. Obviously it’s not what it once was but it’s still a high quality tournament that produces a lot of great moments for players and teams looking to establish themselves early
It is truly amazing how badly Players Era (@Players_Era) has passed Maui Invitational for Best In Season Tournament
There are 12 teams ranked in the top
25 in Players Era and ESPN is broadcasting over 20 of the games
Meanwhile, Maui looks like this, and most of it’s games are being pushed to ESPN2 and ESPNU
New sheriff in town
In a world full of quarter zips and T shirts, be a Frank Martin with the 3 piece pinstripe suit at 4 pm on a Friday #Morethanagame #Respect
How can you afford to have this game played at TD Garden but have the worst ESPN+ broadcast possible. Showed the first replay in reverse, the game camera has a frame rate of -69, and they just showed the BC starters as they called a media timeout and cut to commercial before they could even talk about them.
I wouldn’t want it any other way
Man I am so amped for UMass/Boston College. No dog in the fight but I’m centering my day around it. Show me a gritty game boys. This the type of matchup you would kill for when it’s June 22nd
Oh my god that could’ve ended up so bad. What a blatant wrong call on that out of bounds on DePaul.
Nonetheless DePaul survives in a terrific ball game after putting up 50 in the 1st half. Garrett Johnson drops 26 points and only took threes!!! 8-13 3PT
Also gotta shoutout Turner sports because having a high quality broadcast for DePaul/USF on a November Thursday night gets the juices flowing and it felt like I was watching a First Four game right there.
ACCN running the same Joel Berry halftime segment from Tuesday night. We can’t find anything else to run for 10 minutes?
The books giving 18.5 to Vanderbilt against Wake Forest tonight? Yeah it could get ugly but Steve Forbes tends to play good teams really close early in the year.
Lost by 1 in OT to eventual National Champion Michigan last November
Lost by 1 to Texas Tech in Baha Bar last November
Plus, this is a much improved Wake team from last year
