So wheres all the Cregger stans to say "SeE yOu CaNt MaKe a MoViE oUt oF a ReSiDeNt EviL PlOt"
Phenomenally done, Chandler.
This is how a movie made by someone who loves RE should look. Im convinced that even if he told an original story it would respect the RE universe.

𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐖 - youtu.be/x-a5Kn9p8WM?si=90TR…
Ethan Winters, while searching for his missing wife, finds himself trapped by the Baker family - a deadly, unstoppable force driven to violence under the influence of a mysterious infection…
Its my tinfoil hat theory that this very basic surface level meme of "it escaped we're dumb" is the main reason that Cregger decided to make umbrella incompetent in his slop fest
LMFAO BRO IS LITERALLY DOING TO HALO WHAT HE DID TO RE. Someone stop this fraud
Jennifer Lawrence will star in Zach Cregger's next film ‘THE FLOOD’.
Reportedly described as ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ meets ‘Aliens’, the film follows a crew on a space station who discover an alien object that distorts the mind.

Unpopular opinion: the idea of telling a new story in Raccoon City isn’t the problem. Honestly, following an original civilian during the outbreak could’ve been one of the best ways to approach this movie.
The problem is changing the rules that made Raccoon City and the original outbreak so distinctive. If you’re going to use the RE2 era, the T-Virus, Umbrella, the creatures, and the 1998 setting, those things should feel like the foundation not obstacles that need to be rewritten.
You don’t need Leon or Claire to make it feel like Resident Evil. You just need the world to actually feel like Resident Evil.
Give us the panic, Umbrella’s presence, the slow-building outbreak, survival horror, and that feeling that ordinary people are completely out of their depth.
An original story doesn’t have to mean an unfamiliar universe.
If Cregger got a hold of this itd look like Tekken and people would glaze it
A new teaser for the ‘STREET FIGHTER’ movie has shown recreations of iconic fight moves from the game, including:
• Dragonlash Kick
• Shoryuken
• Yoga Mummy
• 100 Lightning Kicks
• Buffalo Headbutt
• 100 Hand Slaps

Twitters a funny place. "You there! Resident Evil fan! How DARE you want RE monsters in your RE movie set in Raccoon City! Shame on you! You're a larper!"
Coming soon: Zach Cregger's "Dracula" but he looks like a mummy and drinks apple juice and only comes out during the day

Did people actually play these games? A pretty big point about the RC outbreak is that it took place over months, and nobody outside found out because of how oppressive Umbrella's information war was. How do you do that when people have smartphones and internet

The RE movie was better than I expected! However, if they didnt make sure to say "Raccoon City General Hospital" and "Umbrella" a few times, this could be any old monster movie. Too much comedy. Leaned too much like The Thing at points, and the only actual RE enemy is an RE4 dog
Reviews coming out for the RE movie are really good! I was skeptical, but I might be eating my hat on this one.
I still hate the winter setting, the year change, and the clear inclusion of Plagas dogs in the trailer. But if the rest is as good as they say, I can look past it.
Sorry for lack of streams this past week. Been house hunting which can be exhausting, and Fletcher has been sick, so I've been taking care of him.
Streams resume daily this week ideally.
Orange man pic for tax.

On the topic of Resident Evil, this short film that came out before RE: Requiem takes place in-universe during the raccoon city incident and has an emotionally gripping and interesting story. This is what RE fans are looking for, it's not that difficult to understand.
Short Film | New live-action trailer for Resident Evil Requiem.

I loved in RE2 and RE3 when it snowed and the year was 2026 and Jill had an Iphone and zombies sprinted like every other modern zombie franchise :)
