Have you met Mwezi?
This petal-eared, still wobbly-footed baby is Murera’s newest calf, born right amid our stockades last week. She’s the 97th known calf born to orphans we have rescued, raised and reintegrated: a whole dynasty living in the Tsavo Conservation Area, and their stories all started with a rescue.
For Murera, it began when rangers saw her struggling, unable to walk. Now she’s a matriarch and a mum of two. Miracles do happen!

❤️🐾 HELP NOVA FIND A HOME! - DAY 1 🐾❤️
Welcome to Day 1 of Help Nova Find a Home! We’ll be featuring Nova every day until she finds her forever home. 🏡
Nova is a 7-year-old Terrier mix who first came to North Shore Animal League America from South Carolina in May 2019. She was quickly adopted and spent five happy years with her family. But when they moved and could no longer keep her, Nova found herself back at our adoption center. 💔
The shelter environment has been a little too stressful for Nova, so she’s currently staying in one of our staffers’ offices, where she’s more comfortable.
Nova is a beautiful girl who would love to be the only pet in the home, soaking up all your love and attention.
After five years with a family, Nova deserves another chance at happiness. We’ll be sharing her story every day until someone sees this sweet girl and says, “That’s my girl!”
Could that person be YOU? Come meet Nova at our Port Washington, NY Adoption Center and help make her next chapter a happy one. ❤️
You’re an important part of making this happen. Please like and share so we can find her home that much faster. It’s DAY 1 – Let’s go! #GetYourRescueOn #HelpNovaFindAHome #AnimalLeague

🐾💙 10 Years Young. 10/10 Good Boy. 💙🐾
Meet Rocky (#V31557) - our lovable, larger-than-life gentleman who proves that age is just a number! At 10 years young, this handsome guy still has plenty of love, personality, and tail wags to share.
Rocky is searching for a calm, adult-only home where he can be the one and only pet. He'd do best with someone who appreciates the charm of a big dog and understands that the best relationships take a little time to blossom. Earn Rocky's trust, and you'll be rewarded with the kind of greeting that can turn even the toughest day around. 🐶❤️
This sweet senior has been making us smile every day…now all he needs is someone to make him part of their every day.
🏠 Ready to meet Rocky? Visit our Port Washington, NY Adoption Center and ask about this special boy.
Let's give Rocky the happy ending he's been waiting for. 💙
