@CCLTriangle Conservatives had a fantastic meeting today with @RepTedBudd's (soon to be "Senator Budd") office today! It was a pleasure to discuss ideas and priorities and feel "heard". We look forward to building a strong relationship with our new Senator!

The House just passed a bill to make the U.S. more competitive with China, by bolstering domestic supply chains and scientific research.
We should also stay competitive on climate action. China has a #PriceOnPollution, and the U.S. needs to catch up. thehill.com/homenews/house/5…

I've pledged to make calling with @Enviro_Voter a regular thing. If any of my fellow volunteers at @citizensclimate or @ccltriangle wants to make it a party, I'll be calling battleground states on February 3rd, 8th, and 9th. Come join me!

It should.
#FossilFuels kill.
8.7 million people die prematurely due to air pollution caused by the burning of fossil fuels.
Would talking about these deaths much more than we do increase the pressure on fossil fuel companies and governments to speed up the transition to clean energy?

Great piece:
"Solving the #climate crisis requires a myriad of solutions, of which a thoughtfully designed #CarbonTax is only one. Clean energy mandates, ending fossil fuel subsidies, and investments in marginalized communities are also necessary."

How about it, @SenatorRomney? A bipartisan stand-alone bill with Senator Whitehouse? #letsgo

If we can get bipartisan consensus on #ClimateChange adaptation, perhaps we're not too far from getting bipartisan consensus on climate mitigation, like a #PriceOnCarbon.

The cost of inaction is too much to bear when it comes to the climate crisis. Each day we wait, we accrue more of the consequences. It’s time for bold climate action *now*.

It's looking encouraging, one way or another, that significant climate legislation has a chance of passage.
Biden just endorsed breaking up BBB and listed climate atop his list of passable things. A number of House Democrats have also endorsed this strategy. Will Senate Dems be moved? subscriber.politicopro.com/a…
