Nigeria’s tragedy is a society where wealth and fame turn evil into virtue, where wrongdoing becomes acceptable once the perpetrator becomes influential. When money commands more respect than character and fame silences conscience, a nation is doomed. This is the doom of Nigeria!

BAYELSA WELCOMED A MOMENT IT WILL REMEMBER.
There are journeys measured in kilometres, and there are journeys measured in the hearts they touch. Today, Peter Obi travelled from Enugu to Bayelsa, but what unfolded in Yenagoa was far more than a political visit. It was an encounter of people, culture, emotions and an unmistakable longing to be seen, heard and included.
His first stop was Yenagoa, where an enormous crowd had gathered to welcome him. Traditional dances filled the atmosphere, excitement travelled from one face to another, and joy found expression in spontaneous celebration. Some could hardly believe he was standing before them. They kept asking, "Is that really Peter Obi?" Then came the unmistakable sight of his familiar smile and a wave of his hand. The uncertainty dissolved into joyful affirmation: "It is him! It is Peter Obi!"
The crowd was so overwhelming that his movement towards the venue slowed considerably. Yet, there was no urgency to rush past the moment. He smiled, waved and acknowledged the people with the humility that makes an encounter meaningful. Sometimes, the greatest distance a leader can travel is the distance between the office of power and the ordinary people.
Then the heavens opened.
Rain descended upon the gathering, but the people remained. Nobody seemed particularly troubled. They shared the moment beneath the falling rain, turning what could have been an inconvenience into another beautiful memory. Perhaps, in the poetry of the day, the heavens simply added their own applause.
But Bayelsa's story cannot be fully experienced on dry land. In a riverine state, understanding the people sometimes requires crossing the waters that separate their communities. And so, the adventure continued.
Accompanied by local river warriors and members of the community, Peter Obi enjoyed a boat regatta in the hometown of Senator Seriake Dickson, alongside some of the town's traditional waterway custodians. Beyond the spectacle was something more meaningful: an opportunity to encounter the people whose daily realities are shaped by rivers, waterways, distance and the resilience required to navigate them.
That is what makes a journey of this nature significant. Unlike Tinubu... Leadership is not fully understood from behind tinted windows, polished podiums or air-conditioned conference rooms. Sometimes, you must sit among the people, walk their streets, cross their rivers and listen to the stories that never make it into official reports.
An old African proverb reminds us that "until the lion learns to write, every story will glorify the hunter." A leader must therefore make room for the stories of those whose voices are too often absent from the corridors of power.
Bayelsa offered more than a reception today; it offered an experience. A reminder that beneath every geographical boundary are human beings with hopes, struggles, values and aspirations deserving of national attention.
And perhaps that is the deeper lesson of the journey: "you cannot build an inclusive nation by remaining distant from the people you seek to unite." You must be willing to meet them where they are, understand their peculiar realities and recognise that Nigeria's strength lies in the dignity of every community, not merely the prominence of its cities.
Today, Bayelsa had its moment. And beyond the photographs, the dancing, the rain and the boat regatta, one enduring message remained: a nation becomes stronger when its leadership remembers that the people are not merely an audience to be addressed, but partners whose lives must be understood.
For a river does not become one by ignoring its tributaries. It becomes one because every stream is allowed to find its way into the greater body. And so must Nigeria.

PO IN THE CREEK:
True to the promise we made to the Nigerian people, we are resolved to carry the vision of a new and better Nigeria to every nook and cranny of our land.
Today, that commitment found an expression as the Presidential Candidate of our party, H.E. Peter Obi, and our National Leader, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, journeyed beyond the Forcados River into the creeks of the Niger Delta, taking our message of HOPE directly to our brothers and sisters who have too often lived at the margins of national attention.
I pity anyone going soft on these APC demons.
The only language the demonic agents of the APC understand is to return whatever they give you — in good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over.Anything less is a joke.
In 2027, go hard or go home. Period!
VOTE NDC.
Rilwan Olawale must be freed!
