You can consider metal fab also but be aware that if you train with a Construction Metal Fab company the state will pay you over €4k more than if you train with an Engineering Metal Fab company.

An incredible year for sure but ye are still refusing to deal with the massive off the job training allowance disparity within certain trades. You can’t have 2 students doing the exact same apprenticeship but one being handed over €4k less than the other. Come on, step up please

Little known FACT….. her fellow tradesman, a male, will have earned over €4,000-00 within 36 weeks extra thanks to a pay gap that has been allowed to exist within the trade of metal fabrication.

Solas are standing over a pay gap which exists within certain trades. Not between certain trades. It’s within certain trades. In this case a gap of over €4,000-00 during the off the job phases! State money and it’s being wasted!!!
