Read about how SJCEIRR researchers, Dr. Andrew Bowman and Dr. Jacqueline Nolting, study the movement of influenza viruses at the human-swine interface through agricultural fair surveillance in this new article and infobyte: ow.ly/hFIc50ZYsal

ALT At the Agricultural Interface: Swine Shoes and the Spread of Influenza. CEIRR researchers found that reducing the time pigs spend in show barns cuts infections in both pigs and humans, decreasing risks of influenza amplification, reassortment, and spread. 103K+ swine were sampled by CEIRR in North America. 5K+ swine-origin influenza viruses were fully sequenced.
The iDPCC represented the CEIRR Network at Options XIII, connecting with researchers, public health professionals, and collaborators working to advance influenza prevention, control, and response. Read our recap: ow.ly/zPAr50ZQo6k
