Im sorry, you're using betting lines as your reasoning? All those lines reflect is where the money is going it has nothing to do with who will win. Correlation vs causation. The idea that "Vegas knows something" is a farce. Vegas was built by the mafia, who in turn rigged games across all sports. Thats not anywhere near as much of a thing anymore, and neither is the mafia.

This is a great example on why you shouldn't use power ratings for playoff selection because everything he says is correct, but the results on the field have to matter. I have BYU just outside the top 10 of power ratings BUT they are 1st in my resume score after their ND win.

I keep seeing the "well UGA-Bama, OSU-Texas don't mean anything anymore" in a 24 team playoff arguments.... and sure in the regular season they don't affect champ odds as much as before. But you are still getting the do or die games, just deep into the playoffs
