🏈 CFB WEEK 8 - TUESDAY 🐆 South Alabama -2.5 (-112) 1U ⭐️ (This game is tonight) I really like what South Alabama’s offense has been doing lately, and now they get a Marshall defense that’s been getting absolutely torched. We’re laying less than a field goal with the team I trust a whole lot more offensively. The Jaguars have put up 108 points in their first two Sun Belt games, and they’re averaging over 7.5 yards per play in conference action. This offense can put together long drives, control the clock, and still hit explosive plays when needed. And Marshall’s defense isn’t exactly stopping anybody. The Herd rank 133rd nationally, allowing nearly 6.8 yards per play, despite playing a relatively weak schedule. Now I’ve got two systems backing South Alabama. Conference teams lined between +3 and -3 with an elite passing attack averaging at least 8.3 yards per attempt, facing an average passing offense, are 49-15 ATS since 2022. Road teams coming off a game where they allowed at least 7.25 yards per play, with an experienced returning starting QB, are 150-86 ATS since 2022. Both defenses have their issues, but I trust South Alabama to execute when it matters. Marshall just committed six turnovers against Coastal Carolina, and I think that creates an interesting problem. After spending all week emphasizing ball security, I could see the Herd playing too conservatively and struggling to sustain drives. South Alabama has scored at least 39 points in four of six games, winning all four. I like their chances of keeping that offense rolling Tuesday night. Give me the Jaguars to take care of business on the road. ⭐️ Unit System: 1-5 📆 Kickoff: Tuesday 7:30 PM ET 📈 Season: 29-27-1 (+1.73u) 🐆 South Alabama -2.5 (-112) 1U ⭐️

Daniss Jenkins U 16.5 PRA (-115 Draftkings) In 3 games with Cade in the preseason, he averaged 8 min per game in the 1H when the starters were playing, preseason 1H minutes are pretty correlated with the beginning of regular season minutes. In games with Cade last year playing 15-22 minutes, which is pretty generous with his minutes, he averaged 13.3 PRA and went under in 19/25 games. He was at 25.4 PRA/36 with Cade last year, would need around 23 minutes to clear 16.5 given the same rate. Preseason he was at 25.8 PRA/36, not some clear improvement here. Boston is a pretty bad matchup in general. In the preseason, they allowed 42 and 44 points in the 1H when their starters played, with DRTGs of 77.7 and 84.5. That’s super elite, not sustainable, but their defense this year with PG and Mitch should be elite. Data from @CourtAI_App x Claude. #NBA #PlayerProps

Kansas at Kansas State Preview: The Jayhawks will look to snap a 17 game losing streak in this rivalry, and I think they can do it. Kansas is 28th in offensive EPA per play going against this Wildcat defense that ranks 81st in EPA per play, despite Kansas facing the 54th toughest schedule and Kansas State the 93rd. Kansas should thrive off explosives here as they rank 20th in offensive explosiveness against Kansas States defense who is 134th in explosiveness. Kansas State has also done a horrible job limiting teams in the red zone as they rank 112th in points per opportunity. The Kansas defense is extremely underrated ranking 29th in EPA per play, 19th in success rate, and 18th in havoc. Most importantly the Kansas D line is 5th in stuff rate and 10th in line yards so they will be able to shut down this Kansas State rush attack. The offensive metrics for Kansas State are good but they are inflated due to bad competition, they are averaging 21 PPG in 2 games against P4 opponents and Kansas will be the best defense they have faced. I bet an opening line of +8.5 but would still play anything 3.5 or better as I think Kansas wins this game outright.

Part 2 Of The Week 7 CFB Preview 🏈 Kentucky vs Oklahoma (7:30PM ET) Will Stein has exceeded expectations in his first season at Kentucky, but the Wildcats’ offense is going to have its toughest task yet against this Sooners defense. Brent Venables’s defense has been outstanding this season, ranking 1st in adjusted net EPA/play, 1st in defensive success rate, and 2nd in 3rd/4th-down success rate. With Kentucky’s offense ranking 81st in EPA/pass and 126th in 3rd/4th-down success rate, I don’t see the Wildcats’ offense having much success in this matchup. Additionally, Kenny Minchey’s numbers fall off a cliff when he’s under pressure. Minchey owns a 45.9% completion rate this season under pressure with an NFL passer rating of 77. Oklahoma is pressuring quarterbacks on 44% of dropbacks this season, which ranks 1st among all Power 4 schools. I don’t see how Kentucky scores more than 17 points in this game, especially with OU potentially getting Eli Bowen back in the secondary. Give me the Sooners to win this game. I don’t know if they cover, though. (It’s hard to trust this OU offense right now to cover a full touchdown.) Oklahoma State vs Houston (7:30PM ET) If you don’t pressure Drew Mestemaker, he’s going to tear apart your defense. Mestemaker owns an 80.7% adjusted completion rate this year when kept clean, with 8 big-time throws and only 3 turnover-worthy plays. The two areas where the Cougars’ defense has struggled this season are defending the pass and pressuring opposing quarterbacks. Houston’s defense is pressuring opposing quarterbacks on just 25% of dropbacks this season, which ranks 123rd in the country. With a defense that ranks 108th in EPA/pass, this Oklahoma State passing attack should find a ton of success in this matchup. Flip to the other side of the football: this Houston offense has been super underrated this season. Through six games, the Cougars’ offense ranks 7th in adjusted net EPA/play and 7th in success rate. Meanwhile, the Oklahoma State defense has been a bit shaky this season. The Cowboys’ defense through five games ranks in the 26th percentile in rush explosives allowed and the 35th percentile in stuff rate. Connor Weigman, Makhi Hughes, and Rashun Sanford should have no problem running the zone read in this matchup. Additionally, Oklahoma State’s defense ranks 71st in early-down EPA/play, so expect Connor Weigman to operate in standard downs. Overall, I expect this game to be a classic Big 12 shootout that comes down to the wire. I’m going to pick Oklahoma State to cover, but that’s mainly due to Houston’s struggles defensively to generate pressure on opposing quarterbacks. Drew Mestemaker is my QB1 in the 2027 NFL Draft. Nebraska vs Oregon (11:00PM) Dan Lanning earlier this week mentioned: “It’s not enough. Not remotely close. You can see that. Jamari’s a guy that needs to be touching the ball.” He continued, “We’ve got some explosive players that need to be able to touch the ball. Dakorien Moore is a guy that needs to be touching the ball. Dierre Hill. I could name a lot of guys that need to be touching the ball. When you have three-and-outs, obviously that limits your opportunities. The amount of time on the field when you have turnovers limits your plays. We had a lot fewer plays on offense than we had on defense because we turned the ball over. I think some of it starts there, but we can certainly find better ways to make sure that we get targets to players.” With Dan Lanning taking a more hands-on role in the Oregon offense, you can expect a significant change in the Ducks’ passing game. I expect both Dakorien Moore and Jamari Johnson to be featured more heavily in the offense. Now let’s take a look at the coverage matchup.Rob Aurich, the Nebraska defensive coordinator, typically likes to play a ton of zone coverage—specifically Cover 3 and Cover 4. Against those coverages this season, Dakorien Moore is averaging a 0.25 TPRR while averaging 2 YPRR. Nebraska’s secondary has been solid this season, but they rank in the 58th percentile in Yds/DB allowed.I like Dakorien Moore to have himself a big game in this matchup with these changes. 🫡🫡 I know my full preview was long, but hopefully it was informative
