🚨🔵 I love Alonso, and I genuinely want him to succeed at Chelsea, but these next two games against Liverpool and Manchester United are massive.
I'm not saying I'll completely give up on him if we lose, but I'll definitely regret backing him if we come out of these games with nothing.
The Manchester United game especially worries me. They're in terrible form, and the thought of them getting a point or beating us in their current state would be an absolute mockery. 😭
At some point, we have to start winning the games we're expected to win. I can be patient with Alonso, but patience shouldn't mean accepting avoidable disappointments every week. 💙

When did beating Tottenham become the yardstick for judging managers? Before calling for Cesc Fàbregas to become our next manager, understand that coaching Como and managing Chelsea are two completely different jobs.
At Como, finishing sixth or eighth could be considered a great season. At Chelsea, two consecutive defeats can have fans questioning your future. The expectations, scrutiny and pressure are on completely different levels.
We have seen this before with Graham Potter. He did an excellent job at Brighton but struggled to replicate that success at Chelsea. Thomas Frank also impressed at Brentford, yet stepping up to a bigger club brought a different level of pressure.
Chelsea fans are too quick to demand every promising young manager the moment he starts doing well. Developing a team with lower expectations is one thing; managing a club expected to compete for major trophies is another.
“Like Fabregas won't struggle with inconsistent results and performances in his first season.”
Fàbregas is a Chelsea legend. He played here and knows what it means. He never lost to Tottenham at Stamford Bridge as a Chelsea player, not even once.
Fàbregas has a recognised style of play. I don’t even know what Alonso’s style is.
Fabregas doesn’t gamble. He means business.
Fàbregas will not play Quenda ahead of Danny Welbeck when Welbeck was obviously the right choice. He will not let his team get dominated by Tottenham at Stamford Bridge, let alone lose 2-0 to them.
Alonso is rubbish for losing to Tottenham. Rubbish.

🚨🎙️John Obi Mikel on Estevão:
🗣 "We have a young player, the last thing we want to see him do is to leave the football club.
Estevao is a brilliant young player and he will be good for us for many, many years to come.
Xabi Alonso needs to find a way. Whatever he needs to do, he needs to find a way of getting Estevao on the pitch."
Lmaoo 27th in Ballon D'or list on his best ever season of his career is laughable tbh 😂😂
"Better than Lampard" keh

🚨Xabi Alonso will have a hard time picking who to play alongside Moisés Caicedo vs Liverpool on Wednesday.
Romeo Lavia loves this fixture, he never disappoints. Jordan Henderson on the hand is a former Liverpool player, he'd love to prove a point.

🚨🎙️| Zlatan Ibrahimović on Maxence Lacroix’s struggles at Chelsea:
“Honestly, I expected more from Lacroix. After eight games, 11 goals conceded and just one clean sheet, you have to ask questions.
When you sign a defender to improve your backline but the defence continues to struggle, people have every right to question whether he is making the difference we expected.
“I respect his recovery pace and his ability to defend one-on-one, but getting beaten too easily, as we saw against Tel, is a concern.
At Chelsea, you need defenders who can handle pressure and bring stability to the team. Lacroix still has time to prove himself, but potential alone is not enough.
Chelsea need a defender who makes the backline stronger, not one who leaves us asking more questions.”
