Bikes all checked and pre-assessments completed for our Bikeability sessions in @CJPS18. Thanks again to @HealthyValleys for your support with our Pedal Pals cycling programme 😀
Thanks to @ClydesdaleASN team for leading a 'Sleep Action' parent/carer session today after 'Meet the Teacher'. Great input on identifying and addressing barriers to sleep. 👏 😴 🌙
Our 'Dr Bike' session today was a big hit. 12 bikes serviced, with checks to brakes, gears and tyres. New handlebars stoppers were added to some. Massive thanks to the @HealthyValleys Gear Up Team and to our senior pupil and parent helper. 👏 🚲
Our first ever Boccia Bonanza was a great success! Our Buddies demonstrated great leadership skills and are all set for putting these skills to further use next session. Thank you to Derek and Alan @ActiveSchoolsSL and @YfclElaine for making this possible. 👏

Our ELC Stay & Play was at the Funky Forest this time round. Lots of engaged learners & adults! @SLCEarlyLearn
A huge thank you to @HealthyValleys for leading our first Pedal Pals session today. The children had a great morning practising their cycling skills. We can’t wait to see their confidence soar after their next session. @YfclElaine
We had a great time at our Teddy Bears Picnic which involved us listening to a story, going on a bear hunt and participating in art activities. It's a thumbs up from our future P1's #itsSLC 2/2
We had a great afternoon welcoming the children who will be joining our Carstairs Junction family in August. It might have been raining but that didn't spoil our fun at our Teddy Bears Picnic. #itsSLC 1/2
Our ELC parents and pupils had great fun together at our second You + Me session, learning all about counting using concrete materials before moving on to the abstract stage. @SLCEarlyLearn @SLCNumeracy #itsSLC
Room 4 had an excellent trip to @gsc1 today. We loved our journey around the stars and planets in the planetarium and had lots of fun experimenting with the activities on each floor. We were #successfullearners whilst developing our predicting & investigating skills. #STEM
As part of our Eco plans, we are now in Year 2 of developing our community orchard in partnership with SLC Ground Services. 🌿🌼
Well done to all our P6/7s on gaining their John Muir accreditation. Thank you to the teachers and Fiona, Jan & Kenny for making this possible @YFCL #itsSLC🙏 ❤️
Our first ever Bike maintenance after school club! Great skills from our Welcome All Hub rep, parents, pupils and janitor! Thank you Gerry, we look forward to our next one. @HealthyValleys @YfclElaine #itsSLC 🚲
As part of our 'Mini Movers', Mrs Wilson held a yoga session with our ELC learners. Comments included that they couldn't wait to share their yoga with the rest of the ELC staff and that they liked being active, jumping up and down like a monkey! @SLCEarlyLearn
Western Recreation, we thank you for the £1500 funding to help develop a sensory garden. Many thanks to @YfclElaine for making this possible.
