Ok, more math with Mr @ScottWu46.
SPC alum @ScottWu46 has always been a math savant.
Here's his take on the moneyball-ization of startups:

We’re betting our $5.5M seed round that the next leap in AI coding won’t come from OpenAI or Anthropic.
It’ll come from a new feedback loop that learns from you.
Introducing Beacon: open-source, self-improving memory for coding agents.
Your sessions capture how you debug and solve problems. Today, that context gets lost and you have to re-explain things every time you switch tools.
Beacon continuously distills your sessions into reusable skills across Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and 20+ harnesses, so your next agent can learn from the last.
Beacon is free and OSS 🌟 github.com/Asymptote-Labs/ag…
Why should the frontier labs be the only ones winning with your sessions?
You already did the work. Now let your coding agents learn from you.

We're hosting a frontier tech showcase at @spc NYC.
Live demos across robotics, satellites, foundation models, biotech, AI infra & dev tools +
Every team is hiring. In NYC and looking for your next thing? We're opening a few spots, comment or DM me to join!
Excited about this experiment.
$200K uncapped + $500K in credits for ambitious frontier exploration.
Ping us if you're chasing something that seems crazy but would be consequential if it works.
The idea is to give you the resources to figure out whether there's a there there.
At @spc, we are trying to reconcile two things:
1. We have never seen technological progress this rapid or fundamental. Nothing seems impossible.
2. Capital is flowing to consensus teams, in consensus markets, and with consensus terms.
So we’re running a new experiment: $200K, uncapped, to a handful of unapologetically maximalist thinkers who want to try a truly out-there idea.

He's coming to @spc tomorrow.
Kicking off our latest @spc cohort of frontier builders.
An extraordinarily talented and inspiring group working across computational biology, model alignment, AI quantization, aerospace, manufacturing, and more.
They’re starting companies at the most consequential moment I’ve lived through. What a time to build.
Let's get to work.

Today, @DeepCogito is announcing a $43M Series A raise led by @TQVentures, with participation from @benchmark, @nexusvp, @Atreidesmgmt, @spc and @zscaler. That brings our total funding to over $56M.
Deep Cogito is a post-training research lab, with a focus on reinforcement learning and recursive self improvement. These are the techniques now driving the frontier of intelligence, and, we believe, the right path to superintelligence.
We function as an applied research lab - research and application go together. We build and release open weight models and use our post training stack to work with several leading technology companies on large-scale post-training programs.
Thank you to our investors, customers, and everyone who has helped push this research forward.

There are always a few words that serve as thematic north stars for us here at @spc. Over the past year, the words that have emerged as the rallying cry for our frontier explorations are Curiosity, Ambition, and Consequence.
Those words have always been foundational to our ethos over the past decade, but they've come into sharper focus recently.
There couldn't be a better time to build. The cost of building has fallen to the point that building "a thing" is no longer at a premium. Building the "right thing" still is.
Curiosity is how you find the right thing. Ambition and consequence are how you know it's worth your finite time and attention. The opportunities are vast and in reach. What's scarce now is the judgment to pick the ones that matter.
Our latest $575M Fund IV is a reflection of this focus on pursuing what matters. It's a real privilege to explore the future through the eyes of founders who are inspiring each other to dream bigger, across domains ranging from compute, space, energy, logistics, manufacturing, agriculture, Main Street and more.
As one of our current members likes to say: "SPC is where I came to find the thing that will make everything I've done prior to this seem like a footnote in my career."
We hope this fund makes that true for everyone here.
LFG.

We're reversing the trend, and betting big on the Indian frontier, from our $575M global fund @spc.
The hardest problems will be solved by the brightest minds from India. Let's build what only we can.

A question we often get at @spc_india is - why are we so excited about India?
Because, India does not have a shortage of ambition or ability. We need capital, community and conviction, to show up early, and stay the course!
Last week, we announced @spc Fund IV. $575M for the most ambitious founders across SF, NY and BLR. The same conviction across all geographies.
Our core belief is that the map of where great frontier tech gets built, is getting wider. It will not be limited to places that historically had permission to build it!
Many of those founders will start in India. At -1. And they are done waiting.
We are here to catalyse that ambition.

AI for science is the most exciting area of exploration at @SPC right now.
Next week, we're bringing together leading life sciences leaders for a deep dive on AI and the wet lab. The first of many deep dives into AI x science.
Spots are limited.
Excited to join @MTSlive this morning to talk about @spc fund IV and, cruciallly, all of the exciting stuff happening within our community.

Aditya Agarwal says his venture firm, South Park Commons, now has 7 engineers. That’s 20% of its 30-person team building internal AI tooling for the fund.
They built their own harness from scratch, and now even GPs commit code daily.
Their codebase went from ~100 commits in February to 5,000 just a few months later.
Is this the new baseline for how venture firms operate?

@SPC is built on the simple belief that great ideas don’t come about in isolation.
With Fund IV, we’ll continue bringing the world’s most talented technologists together to pursue new frontiers across AI, infrastructure, hardware, bio, and more.
The ambition is infectious.
Onwards!
Today we’re announcing SPC Fund IV: $575M to help founders find their life’s work.
A decade of guiding founders through -1 to 0 brings @SPC to $2B in AUM and, more importantly, a 1200 member community of the world’s most talented technologists. We strongly believe that:
→ The person comes before the idea. At -1, generational founders are often busy reading, prototyping, discarding, and earning the right to their own conviction.
→ Ambition is social. The people you surround yourself with in the early days play a big part in inflecting your ambition.
→ Patience compounds. It is better to work on something you have deep conviction in rather than simply sprint at the first idea.
The quiet months we protect at the beginning have produced three funds in the top 10% of their vintages, and companies like @baseten, @GammaApp, @render, @GoodfireAI, @LumaLabsAI, and @profound. We are proud to have worked with all these founders in their -1 phase and beyond.
While we defined -1 to 0, we're no longer bound by it. Fund IV allows us to partner with companies well beyond launch.
We're doing this now because we've never seen a wider gap between what's possible and what's being attempted. Intelligence is abundant. The cost of trying ideas keeps falling, and problems that seemed insurmountable a few years ago are quickly becoming solvable.
To our members, to the founders who trusted us before anyone else did, and to the LPs who had conviction in our own -1 journey: thank you. This milestone belongs to you as much as to us.
To the builders looking to find your life’s work: let’s get started.

2/ At the earliest stage, the founder is the company. Great ideas are manifestations of a founder's experience, taste, curiosity, and ambition.
We look for the ability to learn quickly and take risks. The cost of settling for a small idea has never been higher.

1/ Today is the last day to apply to the @spc Founder Fellowship.
Five years ago, we started giving founders $1M at the earliest stages. Even pre-idea.
Why? Because we believe people are the fundamental ingredient in startups.
