On this International Women’s Day, I’d like to take this opportunity to talk to you about something.
I’ve discovered something incredible about Alba (Larsen)
At the age of 15, Alba set up Girls International Racing Lab, a community aimed at helping young girls discover motorsport. Through this community, Alba organises events such as go-karting sessions, meet-ups….
By organising races, meet-ups and mentoring sessions with Alba and other role models, the initiative has already engaged over 400 girls and young women in Denmark alone & Alba’s goal for this year is to reach 15,000 girls around the world.
In 2025, Alba received the FIA Women in Motorsport Award, as they recognised the impact G.I.R.L. was already having and the pathway it was starting to open up for young girls looking at racing for the first time

Asked about the recent comments comparing drivers and cars following the Singapore GP:
Charles : « I think it’s nonsense to make statements like that. Whoever made that comment has no idea what kind of car we’re driving, and I have no idea what kind of car he’s driving. The field is so close that it’s really difficult to make predictions. When the margins are this small, everything comes down to optimising your package, which has a much bigger influence than what we might expect from the cars themselves.
The only exception recently has perhaps been Mercedes, who we expected to be further ahead. If they finally unlock the performance we thought they had, I think they’ll be ahead of everyone else. But otherwise, it’s going to be an extremely tight fight. »

Charles about the track: « I think, first of all, the first sector is iconic. In terms of qualifying and pure driving enjoyment, it’s probably my favourite part of the track because it’s high speed and has that first corner, which is completely unique. It’s the part I enjoy the most during a qualifying lap.
But I think what makes this track really, really great is the racing. The way the circuit was conceived and designed creates so many overtaking opportunities, and it’s not just a simple overtake. Because of the way the track is laid out, you can attack, get counter-attacked, attack again and keep fighting, which makes the races very, very interesting. It’s definitely the most exciting circuit of the season when it comes to battles. It’s a track I really love. »
