Today is All Saints’ Day.
On this solemnity the Church rejoices in the entire company of the blessed—those formally recognized and the countless unknown who now see God face to face. It is a day that quietly insists holiness is not reserved for a few extraordinary lives, but is the vocation of every baptized person.
For a lighter or younger-audience entry into the season, consider the Catholic Teen Books anthology Shadows: Visible & Invisible.
This collection of short stories is set explicitly around Hallowtide (All Hallows’ Eve, All Saints’ Day, and All Souls’ Day). The tales blend suspense with thoughtful reflections on the afterlife, prayer for the dead, and the deeper meaning of these days, offering an accessible and engaging way to enter the mysteries the Church celebrates this week.

Friends, sanctity can seem like something that is the special preserve of a handful of spiritual heroes—and not the ordinary goal of the Christian life.
But the whole purpose of the Church—priesthood, the Mass, the sacraments, good preaching, the corporal and spiritual works of mercy—is to make saints.
There is only one real sadness in life: not to be a saint.
Don’t miss the opportunity.

Little in TV has interested me for about the past decade, but on the rare occasion I’d like to watch something, it’s incredibly frustrating that you need a separate subscription for every single thing you want to watch.

On the Feast of Saint John Paul II, we recall his encouragement and guidance: “Do not be afraid. Do not be satisfied with mediocrity. Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” Live today adventurously and watch what God will accomplish in and through you.

Happy feast of Blessed Karl of Austria, who said to his wife Zita on their wedding day of October 21, 1911: "Now we must get each other to heaven."
How many people can say the soundtrack of their first date with their spouse is available to stream 33 years later?
