On Friday at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg, a new exhibit ā€œPalestine Uprooted: Nakba Past and Presentā€ was debuted, and its now open to the public. Palestinian voices have been silenced for too long. Their stories, their lived experiences – their struggles –

Official photographs from the award ceremony at Rideau Hall in Ottawa, where, along with distinguished Canadians, I was presented with the Meritorious Service Medal by the Governor General of Canada, the Honourable Louise Arbour. I feel deeply honoured and profoundly grateful for this recognition. Thank you, dear Canadians, for your love and support, expressed in so many ways, including forms I may never fully perceive ā¤ļøšŸ™šŸ½ Photos by: MS Anne-Marie Brisson, Rideau Hall Ā© OSGG, 2026

The @ontariondp came through to show Toronto what Big Dyke Energy looks like! 30 years ago was the first ever Annual Dyke March part of Pride week in Toronto, a march that initially the Toronto Police refused to shut the streets for because they didn’t think enough people would show up. Well guess what, lesbians, queer women and non-binary folks have been showing up and fighting for our communities since the beginning of time, and that will NEVER change! #dykemarch #pridetoronto #torcen

Keep in mind that everyone criticizing the Nakba exhibit @CMHR_News has not even seen it. The inclusion of Palestinian voices, and the story of their past and present forced displacement, is a part of the Canadian story. The Nakba exhibit is up till 2028. Go see it!

We cannot consider #AI to be morally neutral. In reality, every technical tool embodies choices and priorities through what it measures, ignores, and optimizes, and how it classifies people and situations. Ethical discernment cannot be limited to asking whether we are using a system for good or bad purposes. It must also examine how that system is designed and what vision of the human person and society is embedded in the data and models that guide it. #MagnificaHumanitas

I'm so glad this is happening. Thank you for curating and hosting the Nakba exhibit. Palestinian voices should be telling their stories.
There's been a lot of attention about our upcoming exhibit, Palestine Uprooted: Nakba Past and Present. We're here to address some of the misconceptions and commentary. 1/2

Pressure is mounting to remove the Israeli Medical Association from the World Medical Association due to its silence and complicity with the Gaza genocide, with a recent Lancet article and a petition signed by 11,305 professionals and organizations like JVP Health Advisory Council, People's Health Movement, and Artsen voor Gaza (Doctors for Gaza).

The evidence continues to mount. A new UN inquiry concludes that Israel’s deliberate targeting of Palestinian children forms part of an ongoing genocide in Gaza. How many more reports, investigations, and warnings will it take before governments act instead of offering impunity?

A UN commission has found that Israel is committing genocide through a "deliberate strategy to destroy the future of the Palestinians in Gaza by targeting their children". The truth always comes out in the end — and we must never, ever let it be forgotten.

Four years ago, the Supreme Court stripped away a fundamental Constitutional right and put abortion care out of reach for millions of Americans. Today, we're sending a different message. With New York State, we are investing $495,000 to expand the NYC Abortion Access Hub, connecting more people to abortion care, medication, transportation, lodging and support services, no matter where they live. Abortion is health care. Health care is a human right. We're protecting that right in New York City.
Today, on the anniversary of the Dobbs decision, which sharply restricted access to abortion nationwide, we and @HealthNYGov are announcing an expansion of the Abortion Access Hub, so that more people can access care, regardless of where they live: on.nyc.gov/4oJ6iUC
