On the Airbnb situation - it got to be more trouble than it’s worth and guests just went back to staying in hotels. Airbnb is trying to keep the entire ecosystem from collapsing on itself. I travel a fair bit and now I deliberately book hotels because the hassle isn’t worth it.

Can we also shout out to James Cook for fixing the fumbling issue? He clearly made some adjustments last week in practice.

I was thinking about the NHJ article and the issue of bad schools. Seems to me that we should apply educational models the way we do in corporate America - input the variables and determine what works best for the “client profile”. This is a situation where AI could be highly useful in diagnostics.

Parental sacrifice is the act of putting your child's needs before your own. Sometimes that looks like the struggle of a single parent working 2 jobs to provide a better life for their kid. And sometimes it means sacrificing your ideology because your daughter is more important than proving a point. I appreciate the mea culpa, but the horse is out of the barn. She cannot get those formative learning years back for her daughter. And she may never be able to adequately explain how and why she didn't choose her daughter first. I'm sad for both of them.
