We loved welcoming one of our largest classes of new prosecutors to our office this week for our Misdemeanor Prosecution Skills course! It's designed for deputy DAs who have been on the job for less than a year. You can find upcoming trainings here: coloradoprosecutors.org/trai…

Colorado District Attorneys are asking the Supreme Court to overturn a ruling that would open the door to mass dismissals of criminal cases – even in cases where no misconduct occurred. You can learn more about it from @9NEWS 9news.com/article/news/crime…
Our prosecutors kept busy this summer conducting trainings across Colorado, covering everything from domestic violence prosecution to the latest updates in Colorado law. As we all get ready for fall, you can find our upcoming trainings on coloradoprosecutors.org/trai…
CDAC stands with our partners at @CSP_News today. Our thoughts are with the troopers who were hurt and their families. We are praying for their full and speedy recovery.
This is such terrible news out of Teller County. Two @CSP_News State Patrol troopers were shot & wounded during a traffic stop. The suspect is in custody.
Our thoughts, prayers and support are with CSP and their families during this difficult time.

Investing in the next generation of prosecutors. Thank you to Corrie Caler, Garrik Storgaard, Abby Hegarty, Chandler Neumann, and Rebecca Turner for volunteering their time to teach CDAC’s Misdemeanor Prosecution Skills"—or "Baby DA"—class. (Thanks to Pat Mueller for the photos!) – at Denver, CO

Our work on SB 149 isn't done yet! We are now training prosecutors on how to use the new law to ensure defendants who are found incompetent to proceed in court get the treatment and services they need instead of cycling through the system without support or community protections.
After 16 years of service, we are officially wishing Executive Director Tom Raynes a happy retirement! We are deeply grateful for his leadership, vision, and the countless ways he supported Colorado district attorneys to advance public safety in our state. Thank you, Tom!
Another successful year of improving Colorado's criminal justice system at the state capitol! We appreciate all our partners who worked with us to achieve practical solutions to some of the state's most pressing public safety concerns.
Thank you @Sen_John_Carson, @commish_pelton @Dylan_RobertsCO and Sen. Lindsey Daugherty for standing with teachers, doctors, librarians, prosecutors, and elected officials by voting against SB26-176. The bill would have caused lasting harm to their independent-decision making.
We are urging lawmakers to vote no today on HB26-1037. The bill would prevent police from accessing the most basic publicly available information, upending everything from car thefts to internet crimes against children investigations. Colorado will be less safe it it passes.
