Rest in peace Eric Bauza, I always think about this moment in particular. Voicing two iconic characters doesn’t mean the studio won’t fire you if you step out of line. His support of Coyote vs Acme was amazing to see, and I’m glad he got to see it released.

I think that it’s a slippery slope to have a policy of “these select people cannot use my work because I find them morally reprehensible” to “these people cannot use my work because they are criticizing it” but I feel for individual creators who can’t control who uses their work.

YouTooz being an indie version of Funko is great for creators getting the kind of merch that can typically be offered on a larger scale. Plus there are time where the YouTooz eyes make sense or even where they find a creative way of integrating them.

Resident Evil is a good movie, but here’s my (spoilers) hot take: This is partially cope, but hearing that Cregger wanted a happier ending and yet didn’t think he could write one is a letdown. Swing for the fences; give Bryan a rocket launcher and risk being campy in an RE movie.

Ultimately RE26’s ending is still successful in its execution because I’m even talking about wanting Bryan to live. I related to him, I was rooting for him, and the ending was tragic in all the ways it was trying to be.

I think it’s a good, well-crafted film that deserves much of the praise it’s received! A different ending would’ve been more to my own tastes, and I would’ve respected Cregger taking chances on himself as a creative.
