JUST IN: The motion to bring back the mask mandate in the City of Sarasota failed. Commissioners voted 3-2. They needed a 4-1 vote for it to go into effect. (Commissioners Battie, Ahearn-Koch, and Alpert voted for it. The Mayor and Vice Mayor voted against it). @mysuncoast
