I had the same thought. Honestly, I just chalked it up to the gangster having paid everybody off so that includes expediting his case lol. But I love that. There’s a comic book movie/major horror movie that involves the Oscar nominations. I just think that’s neat.

Couldn’t help but giggle in Clayface at the idea of a character filing a lawsuit shortly after Oscar nominations are announced (so January/Feb) and going to trial before the Oscars occur (april/may presumably) Gotham has the most efficient court system in America
