Imagine living in a world where sunset meant the day was basically over.

He walked to Domino’s for a pizza.
Minutes later, he was locked inside the restaurant bathroom while employees called 911.
According to the man and multiple Domino’s employees who spoke with police, the situation began outside the restaurant.
Witnesses said the mother of his children followed him there in a Honda Civic and drove toward him closely enough that he put his hands on the hood.
He went inside.
She followed.
Employees told officers she began grabbing at his belongings and clothing while he tried to keep some distance between them.
Staff asked her to leave.
She refused.
One employee went to call 911 while the man retreated into the restroom and locked the door.
Witnesses said she then tried to get through the bathroom door before eventually leaving the restaurant before officers arrived.
Police interviewed the man and multiple employees, documented their accounts, and requested the restaurant’s surveillance video as part of the investigation.
Whatever happened before they arrived at Domino’s, once a private disagreement spills into a public business, employees and bystanders shouldn’t have to become part of it.
What started as a walk to pick up dinner turned into something nobody inside that Domino’s expected.
There is a level of confidence I will never possess.
Walking into a pizza place at midnight, making full eye contact with the employee, and calmly saying:
“Pickles and pineapple.”
Not hesitating.
Not apologizing.
Not even looking nervous.
That is not a pizza order.
That is someone testing the structural integrity of a friendship.
And now I’m sitting in the car wondering how well I actually know this person.

Sheriff serves eviction to a 45 year old man that refuses to accept reality. His reasoning of why they can't is mind blowing.
In Henry County, deputies and housing authority officials arrived to carry out an official writ of possession on 45-year-old tenant Ryan, who had lived in the complex for roughly five years paying $432 a month.
The eviction wasn’t over unpaid rent, it stemmed from persistent lease violations, specifically smoking on designated non-smoking property grounds. When the housing authority filed formal proceedings, Ryan simply chose to skip his court dates, convinced that a tenant could never legally be compelled to appear in court over outdoor smoking.
Because he never contested the case, the judge entered a default judgment legally awarding full possession back to the housing authority effective March 2nd at noon. By March 5th, law enforcement had no choice but to enforce the court order.
What followed was a mind-boggling display of refusal to comprehend basic facts. When deputies handed him the signed court order, Ryan tore the paperwork to shreds, threw it away, and insisted the documents were completely fake and printed up by unauthorized neighbors.
Even as deputies offered multiple peaceful exit routes, offering to wait while he packed a bag of essentials, explaining that he didn't have to sign anything to leave voluntarily, and even offering him a ride to a shelter, Ryan stood his ground on completely circular arguments.
He insisted that because he dropped off a check and volunteered at a food pantry, the law physically could not touch him.
After exhausting every verbal de-escalation tactic and issuing a final countdown, deputies placed him in handcuffs. Instead of packing his essentials, Ryan was transported straight to the Henry County Jail on charges of obstruction and resisting arrest while the housing authority changed the locks behind him.
No idea how the world operates in the mind of Ryan, but it's definitely not the world the rest of us live in.

Chevy vs. Ford vs. Dodge. Where are you on this debate? I know people usually have strong opinions on which brand they like more than the other. For me I only trailered horses in either a Cummins diesel Dodge, or a Ford. Chevy had a bad name for the horse show crowd.

CONQUERED: New York school districts are shifting public school menus to certified Halal meat, with South Colonie planning to make all options Halal.

South Colonie Central School District in the Albany area added Halal meals in early 2025 after community feedback. Over 300 Halal meals were requested in the first week at middle and high schools.
District officials have said they hope to make all meat options Halal by the following school year.

Brentwood Union Free School District on Long Island passed a resolution in 2022 for permanent Halal options in all 19 kitchens. Niskayuna Central School District now offers daily certified Halal turkey and cheese sandwiches in every building.
Middletown has served Halal meals since May 2025. Bay Shore added labeled Halal lunch options in September 2025 after student advocacy.

These changes are recent. Most programs began or expanded in the last few years as Muslim populations grew in the Capital Region and Long Island.
New York City public schools already run one of the largest Halal programs in the country, with options in dozens of schools.

Public schools once faced lawsuits over any Christian prayer or display. New York was the site of Engel v. Vitale, the 1962 Supreme Court case that ended official school prayer. Districts now reshape taxpayer-funded menus around Islamic dietary rules without similar pushback.

Halal slaughter requires animals to face Mecca while a Muslim butcher recites prayers. When entire districts move toward 100 percent Halal meat, every student eats under one faith’s rules. Accommodation for a minority becomes the standard for everyone.
