This is so true... I can't tell you how often people conflate the two.

I’m starting to notice just how much modern young adult fiction almost glamorizes depression, anxiety, self-harm, and even suicide
Maybe, just maybe, it’s not a great idea to stock school shelves with such material

Is there even one realistic and compelling argument against homeschooling, considering all of the data shows homeschooled kids do better than public school kids in just about all theaters of life?
I'm giving you anti-homeschooling people the benefit of the doubt that there's more to it than just wanting Big Brother to control all of the information and narratives kids are exposed to for the purposes of indoctrination.

Ghost Town Treasure Hunt @abbileebooks is an engaging story of a boy who’s introduced to geocaching by a new friend. Such an intriguing activity- but will he have to move? An old journal, tombstone, mystery- so much to uncover & discover in this fast-paced adventure! #BookAllies

If you have a nice boomer mom or dad and you think they'd enjoy a fun, informative summer read, may I humbly suggest giving them a copy of my book?
I don't care who knows it: the boomers love me. 🌈🥰

PSA: your child doesn't need to memorize the quadratic equation.
Kids don't need to be taught the same thing in the same way at the same age as every other kid.
Buck the system. Step off the conveyor belt. Customize your child's education to what they are curious about.

Had a great chat with @AndyRoth from @SFC_Network for the @RightBooks4Kids Substack about how other states are trying to follow Montana's lead pulling out of the ALA. rightbooks4kids.substack.com…

Facebook cried "mistake" when they banned us back in Jan, yet here they are again, banning @Good_and_True from posting ads for their wholesome books. This unfair to small businesses struggling to compete, but it's also unfair on parents who want these books for their children.

"By and large, the people drawing attention to radical literary offerings for children aren’t politically motivated, nor are they filled with hatred," writes @bethanyshondark
